The only regular updates I received were bills. In order to know any changes in your account you have to send an email and request specifically what you want. So I wish I could tell you if it was a benefit or not to have an actively managed account but I know less now on than I did previously. So overall kinda disappointing. I guess I assumed I would receive information on how my account was doing & hopefully better to justify the fee, but that just never happened. The portal does not give good communication either. You get someone that will answer your questions one time and then another person that gives you nothing and confuses the question more. I kept 2 accounts with Beyond due to settlements they had started. One was fine, but this last one is now a huge issue. I am seeing reviews that their fees are over the top. I knew there were fees, but WOW! I called and spoke to someone the end of last year, which today they said I did not. (They do have records of a chat and emails.) There was a large balance at the end of my payments and I wanted to know what it was for. The person I spoke with never answered my question or explain that I would have to pay this at the end of the time frame or it would effect my settlement. I called today and now I was told I have to pay the large amount, or maybe they can pay it for me and I will have to make more monthly payments. It is not decided yet. Long story short, if the person I talked to at the end of the year would have told me this, I would have made larger payment and budgeted to have this paid off. Now I am sure I will be paying more fees to them. I had the money to pay this in February, but paid another depth because I thought I was okay. Be very careful if you use this company. Keep up with everything and put everything in writing. Or better yet, pick a deferent company. Note; I never missed a payment, my credit was getting better and now I may fall back due to Beyond Finance not caring about the people they are supposedly helping. ):(

Beyond Finance during their negotiation assumed they were talking with one of our actual creditors, and worked out a settlement. Unfortunately, they were not talking with an actual creditor and began to release funds to a scam. When we questioned Beyond Finance of our findings they attempted to state the creditor stated we had two accounts with them, which was not true. We attempted on multiple occasions to get a straight answer from Beyond Finance, but kept being told it was being escalated to their supervisors. We have not hear back from Beyond Finance about returning the misappropriated funds that was given to a wrong company, so I would recommend looking into more reputable companies to support you.

He accepted this mess graciously and I paid him $700 for his services. This was on February 15th. Since then, I have followed up with him several times over a span of several weeks, with a CC to his assistant, and have either received assurance that my taxes would be completed prior to the due date or simply no response at all.  I took a leap by trusting someone that I came across on the internet with good reviews but as I sit here filled with anxiety, I'm realizing that was a huge error in judgement.  Learn from my mistake and don't simply trust the good reviews. Do your homework and maybe stick with the larger corporations where you know the work will get done. UPDATE based on John's response: The dates provided by John are correct, however, they do not excuse an Accountant hired to complete taxes prior to the April 18th deadline failing to file said taxes. John, check your emails and you will see that all information, including the information you asked for most recently, was absolutely completed and uploaded to Dropbox. The fact that you are accepting no blame for not responding to multiple requests from a client in addition to not filing taxes by the due date is appalling considering that it's exactly what you were hired for. Regardless to any amount of refund, you didn't alert me to this until April 21st, three days after taxes were due and I had already told you that I was taking my services elsewhere. As mentioned in my final email to you, I strongly advise assessing your workload prior to accepting new clients. You knew exactly what you were agreeing to 2 months prior to the tax deadline and assured me that my taxes would be filed. Lastly, for anyone who has read this far. I am attaching a copy of John's list of excuses as to why the taxes weren't filed on time.
