Hiring The Whiskey Chaser for our wedding was one of the only MUST-HAVE's on our list. Aside from the venue, they were the first vendor I locked in because we knew we had to have them. Tory & Chad are a dream team to work with and made the planning process so seamless. For starters, their cocktail questionnaire truly help you narrow down to what kind of cocktails you want at your wedding (except it was hard because there were so many yummy sounding craft creations to choose from)! If you found a cocktail that caught your interest but were interested in small tweaks, they were so open and talked us through our options. The days leading up to our wedding, we were on weather watch for an "atmospheric river" and they knew how important having the Horse Trailer there meant to me. I always promised to host a party when my husband promoted and given the rainy winter, we opted to make our son's high school graduation a dual purpose excuse to have Whiskey Chaser. We are a Silicon Valley backyard farm party with chickens and The Whiskey Chaser was the perfect vintage class with our backyard casual celebration. From the minute I reached out to Tory, I knew they were seasoned veterans in this business and knew EXACTLY what we were looking for. Tory was spot on as far as timing, direction, planning and execution and took the stress off of the whole process. Class act. The day of the event, Chad arrived chill as a cucumber and well-stocked on all things garnish. They have this process down to a tee. The Whiskey Chaser was certainly the highlight of the party with tacos and churros. The trailer came to life when the sun went down and the lights came on. We were able to use some vintage glassware and German steins from family which made for a super fun evening. Plenty of options for non-drinkers with mocktails and other options. We did not feel like the high schoolers were left out. He was great with them! The most memorable part to me was chatting up 60 or so guests and having Chad find my husband and I in the crowd with a fresh cocktail or beer in hand. Highly recommend Chad and Tory's services! We hired them for our wedding at Waterfall Santa Cruz. We chose them due to the great reviews (they came highly recommended from our planner) and they have an adorable bar. The venue doesn't allow hard liquor so we had to get creative for our drinks. Tory asked us very detailed questions about our preferences and they gave us a list of potential options for the drinks. All of the options were super unique, and it was difficult to choose just one! We ended up going with the Butterfly (shochu and sake liquor base with yuzu and butterfly pea flower tea) and a Chai Soju Negroni (soju, sweet vermouth and campari with chai tea syrup). The drinks both looked and tasted beautiful, and our guests loved them. Our wedding had some rain in the forecast and there was a concern that we wouldn't get the trailer bar due to potential water damage. Luckily Tory and Chad also have a reclaimed wood bar that they could use, and they gave us plenty of time to make a decision. My husband and I had accepted that we may not be able to get the trailer bar due to the rain, but Tory and Chad ended up surprising us by bringing both the reclaimed bar and the trailer bar! Their drinks are bomb.com! Whiskey Chaser was easily one of the best vendors we worked with for our recent anniversary / wedding celebration. We had originally booked them for our Wedding pre-Covid in early 2020, and they worked with us to reschedule to August of 2021. Their signature cocktails package was great - the most fun we had planning the wedding was the day we did the cocktail tasting with Tory and Chad. Highly recommend to relax and enjoy the cocktails while tailoring it for our big day. We ended up with a Bee's knees peach cardamom gin cocktail and a blackberry sangria which paired perfectly with our paella! They were easy to work with: Tory handled all the communication and guidance with logistics (glassware options and recs within our budget, alcohol qty), while Chad was the man behind the bar and creations. :) They seemed extremely self-sufficient and were so kind! They were also very accommodating: we had a special (late) request to serve chocolate milk and virgin mocktails from the bar as a special treat for the non-drinkers, and they took this in stride. They even handed us a drink immediately after we walked down the aisle - what a nice touch :) The trailer bar is amazing decor, and I cannot say how much of a hit WC was on the big day. We had minimal decorations and flowers, and their trailer bar added a lot to the outdoor garden vibe we were going for. Lines all night long (but not too long!), and many repeated visits throughout the evening. The gin cocktail they designed was a immensely popular, and Rafael and Chad were super nice and kept folks happy all night long. We hired The Whiskey Chaser for my 40th Birthday party this summer. It was undoubtedly the best decision and our friends are still talking about the delicious cocktails a couple of months later! We used the reclaimed wood bar because the trailer wouldn't fit in our property, but it was gorgeous on our upstairs patio and created a beautiful ambiance and feel for my party. From my initial email to Tory the process was smooth and easy. And when my life got super hectic and I was slow to respond, Tory was patient and understanding (even when I was late sending a payment). I found the Whiskey Chaser on Instagram at that point in wedding planning where I was convinced it was going to be a total disaster (everyone has that, right?). As soon as I saw the trailer, all lit up, I was like, "I need that. If I have that, everything else will fall into place." And it totally did. Chad and Tory are awesome--outstanding communication, excellent cocktail knowledge, exceptional service--just all-around good people who had a great business idea and the savvy to bring it to life. The bar's visual appeal is obvious, but Chad and Tory's relaxed competence, thoughtful attention to detail, and genuine care about the party turning out well really push the Whiskey Chaser into the exceptional category. They created an array of beautiful and tasty cocktails and a welcoming tasting experience. They worked with us to figure out how to set up in our cocktail hour area, have a satellite bar ready at the reception area, and then move the whole trailer and set back up for the reception. They gave us the option to order our booze at their local BevMo, and they picked it up and brought it with them to the wedding. Even with their new baby arriving just months before our wedding (he came to our site visit--so cute!), they never missed a beat. At the wedding, the trailer looked absolutely perfect, and every time I saw Chad, Tory, and their other bartender Justine, they were mixing, pouring, moving racks, very diplomatically suggesting water as alternative to select drunk relatives--but also smiling and chatting and asking us if we needed anything and really helping to set the whole scene for the event. It was one of the few aspects of the day that really made me feel like an honored guest at my own wedding. Plus that first drink after making our way down from the ceremony was pretty much the best thing ever. Our guests raved about the trailer, the drinks, and how nice and helpful the bartenders were. While this was something of a splurge for us, I cannot imagine any way our bar could have gone better, and it felt completely worth the money. We hired Whiskey Chaser for our wedding - Tory and Chad were amazing to work with and we cannot recommend them enough! From the planning process to the day of, everything felt so easy. They are extremely organized and on top of things; communicating, logistics, beverage quantity recommendations, etc. Tory was always very quick to respond to any questions we had and the planning process was a breeze. They are very detailed in the planning and made sure everything was taken care of. Tory and Chad took our preferences for the drinks we had in mind and really brought them to life. They have such creative and unique ideas on flavors and drinks that it was really difficult to choose our main drinks. We even added an extra one because there were so many we liked! On our wedding day, we constantly had guests coming up to us saying how cute the bar was, how friendly they were, and most importantly how much they loved the drinks. Definitely a hit! We had the pleasure of working with The Whiskey Trailer Bar at the beautiful Waterfall Lodge in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Not only is that venue gorgeous, but as vendors, a tad tricky to navigate on those small trails and windy roads.
