The sales and information from Jackie and Brian have been fantastic. Their knowledge and explanations are phenomenal. And all from a small town family run establishment. And we add that we have found prices to be as good as or better than big box locations. We feel well served and treated at Wood's. Well, 6 months rolled by and we were told it would be at least another 2 months. So I finally decided to cancel the order and asked if they would split the deposit with me (I was only asking for 1/2 the deposit amount back) - they told me no. I can't imagine the person making it had it made and/or not even had the wood yet for the project and even if they had the wood, it could have been used for another order from someone else. Just make sure if you purchase something you really want it and are willing to wait for it for a long time. We were very disappointed that they would not work with us at all on the partial deposit refund. Not good customer service or way to keep a potential future customer.

Attic treasures…read more First, I'd like to say that the owner Steve is wonderful to work with. Very willing to get you what you want and working with you to ensure that you are a happy customer. We have recommended Attic Treasures to many people who have spent thousands of dollars there. At our last trip there, we also dropped thousands of dollars to purchase some furniture for our house. Steve even worked with us to build some end tables for our living room. I wish I could say this had a happy ending. We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the owners son, who has HORRIBLE customer service. Every time we call the store he is nasty on the phone and by no means makes you feel like a valuable customer. Our end tables came in and and my husband drove an hour and a half to pick them up. They were made wrong, did not match the drawing at all. The son said that they never should have taken this order, if he were there at the store when we came he never would have taken this order. The doors on the end tables (which should be less than 20 inches because that's how wide the end table is) were made into double doors. The son said that they have to do that because the wood warps. I find that funny because on the TV stand we bought the doors are wider than 20 inches. Also I was under the impression that what Attic Treasures is known for is making things to fit your space. It literally says on their page "Can't find something to fit an unusual space? Draw it up and we'll make it for you!" So being told that making our end tables isn't something they do was a little hypocritical. Needless to say we extremely disappointed in the customer service we received and will tell our friends about the experience we had and at this point we aren't sure we will ever purchase something from this store again. Like I said at the beginning Steve was great to work with, however his son is going to drive that store into the ground with his terrible customer service. Then when we call to complain, the owner did nothing to rectify the situation and said he gets complaints about his son's customer service and won't do anything about it. If you go into their greenhouse a employee gives you a slip of paper with the price of your plant. That's why she need to know what it was so she could put the price and slip. Then you walk over to their building to pay. Seems like they should have someone to check you out at the greenhouse also. And better educated employees.

There were a couple of items that my kids have shown me they wanted to get for others and I did not look at the prices BECAUSE the other items I had been looking at where prices okay. Items were higher than most stores but not crazy. We had seen a few high priced items but they were things that MADE sense to be a high price, like vintage items that were REAL. When the total came up, I just assumed I had gotten more items then I thought, that happens when thrifting. Turns out these people just throw whatever price they want and throw a few insane ones in there hoping someone like me will come along and be too distracted to noticed. When I got home, I found that two items where prices insanely high, like way out of line high. One was a USED pair of shoes, NORMAL chuck Taylor's. ALL of the other shoes I got where less than $10 so I had assumed they were in the same price range. They are worn and have sunbleached on them! But I was grabbing them because I thought they would be a good gift. Turns out this shop thinks they are worth $65! The guy said there is no way the other shoes are that cheap, I said let's go look at them. The first pair I grabbed was $25 but it was on the other side of the rack from where I had been shoping so I walked to the other side where I had been yesterday and pick up a pair I had tired on. It is $10. I bought a pair for $7, another pair for $10, a pair of heels for $10 and a BRAND NEW paid that I knew I was paying $60 because I had to ask when I couldn't find the price. But they are a special shoe for diabtics, which i am, so i went ahead anf got them for myself. When I tried to show him that, he claims I looked at 7 pairs of shoes before I found a cheap pair, which isn't true at all. I picked up 2 pairs, the first that was $25 and the second that was $10. He wouldn't walk over and look at the shoes, just said I was wrong.... (abuser). Then there is a motorcycle novelty knife that my son picked out for my husband. ALL of the other Harley items I grabbed were under $20, so again I missed the tag.... of $75. This knife is not worth anything like that. Online there is someone who hasn't even been able to sell it for $15. The lady tried to say that they confirm pricing with at least 5 online posting before they price an item, and I asked her to please show me what she found online because right now you can by the shoes brand new for $40-60 and the knife for $15 on ebay. This was before he stopped allowing her to talk. The man wouldn't allow her to do anything because he knew i would be right and he would be wrong which he CLEARLY can't handle. She was just starting at him and i begged her to please look at me. When she did and I tried to talk to her, he threw a huge fit and told her to look at him. Then started accusing me of saying something to her, I didnt. All I was asking was for them to make them a reasonable price! I wasnt even trying to return them. Hell I would have taken it as credit and shopped more but now I will never come here and I hope you will spend your money somewhere else as well. When I said I would write a review to make sure people know how I was treated, The owner told me that if I try to post a negative review, he will reply "nicely" and that everyone is going to agree with him and say i should have looked at the price tags.
