My mother-in-law recently purchased two wigs here as she is going through chemotherapy. She absolutely raved about the products and service so much that she suggested I bring my mother here to look at wigs. My mother has been affected by hair loss for at least the last 15 years. We popped in on a Saturday afternoon (they are closed Sundays and Mondays) and were blown away by the selection and service. Sierra assisted us for THREE hours. Had I known the process was this lengthy, it would have been wise to book an appointment but all worked out. Seirra was patient, informative, and knew just what to suggest. I will say that there are stairs here - it's a house, not a typical business so that was an issue for my mother who was limited in her ability to go inside and outside (to view the wigs in natural light). Most of the wigs come in a variety of colors/highlights so don't think just because you don't care for the colour of a wig but like the style that you're out of luck. All wigs come with unlimited trims/cuts - although they can't make significant changes. Moral of the story is go home with your wig and come bag for trims because they can always take hair off but can't add it back on. Sierra didn't pressure my Mom to purchase anything at all. In fact, she had encouraged my mom to go home and sleep on it and come back if she was ready to purchase. My mom went ahead and purchased anyway, I think she didn't want to trek out again anytime soon but regardless, this was a zero pressure environment. Sierra also told us that wigs will last 6-9 months, on average, with everyday wear. You don't need to wash them very often - like every 30 wears or so. They sell all the accoutrements you need to properly care for your wig as well. I foresee some more visits here in the future! P.S. My 9 year old thought it was a hoot and loved trying on a few wigs as well. P.P.S. Don't be silly like me and pay to park. They have FREE parking in the back. read more

Main facts are it's closed on Sundays and Mondays, there is free parking in the back, and it may be wise to book an appt simply because there are a LOT of choices to be made. We were helped by Siera, who patiently tried wig after wig on me, starting with what I "thought" I liked and gently guiding me in other directions, until the magic moment occurred when I loved what i saw. There is absolutely NO pressure here to buy anything on your first visit- in fact, the total opposite is true. You are definitely encouraged NOT to buy, but rather to go home, look at all the pictures you took, and simply think about it. However, I knew we had finally (I took three hours to reach this point) found what would make me feel happy. For the first time in maybe two decades, I loved the way my "hair" looked. The last step was a custom trim, deliberately done with restraint since more could be taken off later but not put back on :-). Return visits are encouraged for any advice, touch ups, or whatever you need. I felt the price was reasonable for the quality of the wigs and the careful attention you receive, and foresee more purchases in the future. read more

While I'm not on the market for a wig, I thought I'd see what the Wig Boutique has to offer. I've never seen so many wigs before, and they all look so real! They have separate rooms here for customers to try on different wigs with more privacy. The wigs come in different natural shades, mostly blonde and brunette. Tips are included with each wig to show how to care and clean them properly. There are also head-scarves and bandannas to go with your wig if you want. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and you don't need to make an appointment. You can just walk in and they'll set you up at a table, and get your wig-liner all ready for you to try on various locks. What SERVICE!!!! Im new to town, and didn't have time to get my wig washed and styled before i left. . I called The Wig Boutique and spoke to Suzan. I inquired if they did this sort of a service. She was very friendly and gave me all the details as well as pricing. She also let me know that they would be closing on the next monday for renovations for a week. BUT heres where it gets good. She offered, without me asking, to still take on the service, and told me i could come in monday (while they are closed) to pick it up. I was THRILLED! Dropped the wig off,- the team there was friendly helpful, and the shop, although about to go under renovation was VERY tidy and orderly. Monday came, and I got an amazing personal text message from Suzan letting me know not only was my wig ready, but that it turned out great, and she had even fixed a small tear in the lace, at no additional charge. This place is as good as it gets ! I've been a customer for 10 years now. These ladies are professional, patient and have their customers best interest at heart. As a woman with alopecia I struggle with accepting the fact that I'm bald so when I walk into this business I feel comfortable being who I am and they always make me feel like I'm right at home. We all have a favourite and Tamara is mine. She has gotten to know me, my personality, my likes and dislikes. Tamara always listens and continuously amazes me with showing me a wig that is completely me ! They do not have a huge staff turn around so this allows the ladies to really get to know their clients. The prices are very reasonable. If you want to purchase a $49.00 wig then don't bother entering this cute little business because you get what you pay for. You get quality, quantity and a personal touch when you enter The Wig Boutique. As long as I don't have hair I will ALWAYS find my way back here. This shop is wonderful! I can't say enough good things about the ladies that work here. They love their job and are so pleasant to be around. I'm a chemotherapy patient and these ladies educated me on wig care. They have a wonderful selection, and cut and styled my wigs to my face shape. They even helped with the fit as I had trouble with my wigs riding up in the back. They were able to help me keep my wig secure on my head. If you are in the market for a wig, you won't regret letting these knowledgable ladies help you! I've have been in this boutique many times and have purchased a variety of wigs. I've always been very, very happy with the whole experience. The ladies take their time with me, let me try on all sorts of styles and colours until I'm completely happy. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the wigs is fabulous. went to boutique intimidated because of hair loss and the women there sold me 2 very costly wigs totalling over $450.00 dollars. I was basically talked into it. Having never had wig experience the sales person should have recommended to me to try first before selling me 2 wigs. Must be a commission sales place? One of the never wore as it was when i went back a return and so this wig was sold to me as AS-IS. Pure material on the other one, stretched out fast and when i came back for fixing the wig, as promised garantie I felt as they wanted to sell me another one. I bought in another store on 104 ave South site a much better quality wig for only about $49.9o and have gone back to same store many times now. Always very happy. The WIG Boutique is costly, commission sale and lousy warranty. read more
