After a few off color remarks and another visit to the back room, she returned to tell us the prices of a few of their items. Completely unreasonable prices for such low quality material, in my opinion. My wife is an interior decorator and I own a moving business, so we've seen our fair share of furniture. The paint was already chipping off of some of the overly gaudy wooden furniture...and the nails were already coming out of some of it. The trinkets on display held extremely outrageous prices. The store seemed to me like an expensive and much smaller version of Pier 1 Imports which didn't do too well in Longmont to begin with. Add to that the rude proprietor who seemed to be more interested in drinking than helping customers...well, you make the call. Maybe I didn't look rich enough for them.... But as for my wife and I, we'll never go back to that store again.

It is worth the experience to visit this extraordinary shop! The building was formerly the Power & Communications Building, which Cheese Importers took over in 2012. The shop is gorgeous, and the buyers are fantastic, stocking it with so many beautiful items that you will not easily find in other shops or online. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are very high, and I don't recommend buying items you can find in your local grocery store or gift shop, but if you find interesting, unique, and beautiful items that you love, then it is worth spending the money, in my opinion. This is a great place to find exceptional gifts, especially for someone who likes to entertain. Must take home a fresh French baguette and some caramels! After choosing the two designs we found most comfortable, we decided to special order a cherry windsor style chair but customize it with shorter backs as we wanted a lower profile for our contemporary table.
