The end of last year into this year, after she had another hospital need, I recommended Medilodge Okemos MI again. She is there! I am still impressed. They are quite nice though and that's good. The facility is old and dirty. The floor in my sister's room was never cleaned in the three weeks she was there. Bloody, dirty linens were left sitting around in a pile for three days until a family member said something. The worst thing was that they took almost 4 full days to sign off on her passing, exceeding the 48 hour time limit and holding up the process of moving forward with her remains. This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! If you can go elsewhere, DO!

Safety precautions are not marked by signs or alerts or minor repairs done to ensure seniors do not fall. The step up into the building is not flagged with bright yellow paint or signage to say step up!!! Nobody wants to hear repairs are coming and you risk being sued for falls and injuries you have been informed about. People are located in Haslette, Michigan tripping and falling and the long story that repairs are coming is unacceptable . Get some yellow safety paint to paint bright paint on curbs and step up to another level and note areas on different levels, put cones over broken concrete. People pay high rent and deserve a safe environment.
