The end of last year into this year, after she had another hospital need, I recommended Medilodge Okemos MI again. She is there! I am still impressed. Employees and teams in all positions listen, take suggestions, and explain things. Employees and volunteers are helpful. Her Unit Manager is wonderful. The atmosphere is peaceful, fun, and uplifting. She is receiving great care.

They are quite nice though and that's good. The facility is old and dirty. The floor in my sister's room was never cleaned in the three weeks she was there. Bloody, dirty linens were left sitting around in a pile for three days until a family member said something. The worst thing was that they took almost 4 full days to sign off on her passing, exceeding the 48 hour time limit and holding up the process of moving forward with her remains. This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! If you can go elsewhere, DO!

I so appreciated their attention to detail and them explaining to me what was happening as Mom's body began to shut down. Even when Mom was sleeping and unresponsive, I would show up to find a hospice nurse or their dear chaplain in the room with her, caring for her. They still reach out to me to see how the family is doing now that she is gone. It was absolutely the right decision to have them involved in helping us keep Mom feeling as comfortable as possible and safe and loved during this difficult time. We were highly satisfied! ~D

I came in for an emergency and I left eight hours later with no answers. The doctors were empathetic and noted it was a scary event which was worth the ER visit, so I am curious why everyone but the doctor was quite awful.
