They went in and restored it back to its original beauty with over 4000sq feet of tin ceiling, original oak flooring on the north & put in plank flooring on the south. New windows that were made to look like the originals. They changed the name to Antiques & Artisans PLUS because it's sooo much more than antiques & art! They have NEW merchandise, beautifully repurposed furniture & other wonderful things!? Plus the prices are at such a great value! The 2nd floor they had just completed into suites and bedrooms! It had been offices for Drs, dentist & attorneys from 1906-1952. They have a new website for it: stayattimeless.com. You have got to check Timeless Suites out! They are outstanding people who will address any issues you may have and work to provide customer satisfaction. The property is not designed to be a 5-Star hotel. It is a beach front walk-in from your boat, dune-buggy, or tie your horse up at the hitching post location. The property is clean, it is inviting, and the staff and customers are hardworking people. The food is prepared in a kitchen that is clean and always presents with high standards. The lounge and dining areas are open to foster the reason you are at the Lake to begin with which is get away from the stuffy confines of your everyday life. Stayed here for one night after attending a friend's wedding nearby. I was a tad hesitant due to it…read morebeing a random motel in the middle of nowhere but it came recommended by a friend so I booked a room ($75 per night) and I am glad I did!! It's a cute little motel right off the side of the road just outside Julesburg. Slightly dated decor but everything was super duper clean - including the exterior of the building and the bedding, floors and the bathroom inside the room. There is a large mini fridge and a microwave in the room and our room had plenty of closet space. It is right next to the railroad tracks which didn't bother me but if you're not used to trains it may keep you awake for a little bit at night as the trains were running several times per hour all through the night. Make sure you call ahead when you're about 15 minutes out as my fiancé had to call when he got there and had to wait a few minutes for the owner/front desk manager to drive over and give him the keys and run his card. Checkout was a breeze - we just left the key in the room per instructions and got back on the road.
