I used to love coming here, but one day when I came in to buy a pack of cards, the owner proceeded to lecture me about my beliefs and tried to convert me to christianity claiming my beliefs were "evil and wrong" (all based off a necklace I was wearing). If there was a way to leave negative stars, I would. Called to ask about an event and Jon was beyond rude and condescending. He not only talked down to me, but he talked over me so there was no way he was able to know what I was asking. I wouldn't waste any money or time in this shop as this isn't the first obnoxious dealing I've had with this "business owner." The Wizard's Duel is Brockton's premiere game shop for fans of all trading card, board and role playing games. It is located across the street from Brockton Hospital. They have tournaments for different card and board games daily, including Yu-Gi-Oh five days a week (Wedneday-Sunday) as well as "Sneak Peek" and "Pre-Release" events for Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic The Gathering, respectively. The collection of single cards for sale for Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other popular trading card games is unmatched anywhere else in Massachusetts. If you're looking for a certain card ,chances are, they currently have it, or will get it soon. Prices are fair, and cards are always in good condition. There are a decent amount of snacks available for purchase at the counter, including hot pockets, french bread pizza, cookies, candy, pudding, soda and more. Quite handy when you're in the middle of a tournament and you need a little something in your belly. There are a few parking spaces in the front, and more in the back, but other than that, you may have to park a little way down the street when you come to play here. All in all, it's a great place for gamers, or people who want to get into playing games. Be aware they keep a cat on premesis as a pet/greeter. Big, fluffy, orange and white cat named Urza. My update is a bit late as I work the retail business but I gave this place another try and I was presently surprised! I needed cards before I went to an anime convention that had Yugioh matches as a part of it. My Fiance needed a few for her deck too, so I decided every one deserves another chance right? The owner greeted me cheerfully and was very helpful when I said I have a few cards im trying to hunt down. I did not smell the kitty as previously mentioned and did not even notice until I heard a Meow on my way out and saw Urza laying on a table. :-) They have a wide selection available and from what I understand draw quite the Yugioh crowd. I was given a promotional card that when you spend money at the shop be it for merchandise or tournament entry you get a stamp for every X stamps you get a discount! Store was also nice and clean and organized, also had supplies I needed for my convention I was unaware they even carried. (Game Mats) Thank you for your business and getting me what I needed. While I dont live close to Brockton I will be in more often when I need Yugioh supplies. read more
