Look hard and maybe you can find some S or G scale. The back room also has a selection of scenery materials and model kits. With the overwhelming amount of merchandise, items are overflowing into the aisles. It can be hard to find things if you're looking for anything specific. If you're looking for the latest HO releases from Rapido, Atlas, or Athearn, this isn't the place. ...but if you want to get some inexpensive freight cars and track for your favorite kid (or yourself), you're bound to find something here. The staff has obviously been in the hobby for quite some time and should be able to answer your questions.

In the back they have scratchbuilding supplies, books, and paint. I found some stuff here (O gauge vinyl roadbed) that hasn't been made in years. In talking with the staff, they purchase collections of stuff so they don't always know what they will have. It is like walking into a used train show, and the prices are very fair. They also have a classroom in the store with a regular schedule of classes. There are also a number of helpful people on hand that seem to know what they are talking about. They are conveniently located on the southbound side of Route 1 - between the intersection with 95 and Gillette stadium. This is not remotely like shopping at one of the big box hardware stores.
