More concerning was that my ability to receive care appeared to be influenced by my husband's account status rather than my individual medical needs. This raised serious concerns about professionalism and patient-centered care. Additionally, the billing practices were excessive and unexpected. Appointments routinely exceeded $550, and I was charged at a rate of approximately $175-350 per hour for every minute of time spent, similar to an attorney's billing structure. Because there is no support staff, any time spent outside of scheduled appointments--regardless of how brief--was also billed by the minute. This was not clearly communicated upfront and felt unreasonable given the already high cost per visit. Patients deserve transparent communication, ethical decision-making, and care based on medical need rather than financial considerations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this practice.

So, it was unexpected. We were there around 7 or 8 and had just come in and saw two other family members sitting outside of the room. (They patient was still getting situated inside) so we were trying to gather information about the situation as we waited. I took note of a bag at the opposite end of the bench but thought nothing of it. We kept chatting while we waited to go in the room. Then out of nowhere a woman, a nurse, comes in, masked up, and draped a towel over her bag and walks away. Now. I'm only writing this as a review because I truly feel like this is microaggression. Why not just get your bag? Was us discussing our sick family member infecting your bag, in a HOSPITAL where YOU WORK? I mean your bag was cool to be there in the open before my family members were sitting there. With all the hospital germs floating in the air laying on them caressing them depositing on them what they will. And now that there was a few people near your possessions you need to cover them? We were appalled. Astounded.

After the 3rd hospitalization they realized it was Covid. On my 5th visit I "Coded" not Stroke, but low Blood Pressure has made me passout (at home), this time causing a brain bleed, fortunately outside the brain. It had affected my speak, writing what the brain tells me and having completely different is awful after I read what have written it is embarrassing and I reasons stopped writing reviews because for it. St. Luke's Rehabilitation is top notch and they don't let you let miss a beat. So 2020 was rough. I vowed not to see the ER in 2021, but I broke wrist in 3 places and surgery is scheduled for another issue this month. This will be OK.

Also, recently I had a strange experience when the breast center placed my breast surgeon's order for a breast MRI on hold so that a technician from breast center could "review the order and release it". It took me a couple of emails, a few phone calls, and finally going to the breast center to have it released to be able to schedule my MRI after a couple of days of delay because of this non-sense policy. They should do better.

She had me fill out a short form and then took me back to another waiting area where there were different kinds of tea, coffees, and a small assortment of snacks. (Nothing gluten free for those of us with celiac disease though sadly.) I waited here for about ten minutes until I was called back to undress but was given a nice warm robe. The lady doing my ultrasound was overly friendly, but she was nice enough. I also like how they give you a locker to put your stuff in. Definitely a good location for a mammogram.

Yesterday I went in to have my daughter examined for a possible fracture after a fall. They took an…read moreX-ray and sent us home, confirming that there was no fracture. At 7 p.m., after three calls during the day that I didn't answer because the number didn't show up, they confirmed that the radiologist had found a fracture. They told me to come in today at 8 a.m. because it was already late and they were closing. Today, the new team knew nothing about it. They accused me of having left yesterday with my daughter's fracture untreated. In a rude manner, they finally immobilized her after I asked about the previous day's team, making their malpractice clear. I am a doctor, and it seems to me that the care and training of the staff leave much to be desired.
