I know this because I went there 1st and saw the exact model that United Furniture tried to pass off as a $499.00 set. This frame is $169-199.00 at Walmart! I have pictures of what I ordered vs what was delivered. A totally different frame, color and material. If I could add the pictures now, I would. I have a relative that was currently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing Chemo and Radiation and I wanted this person to be comfortable. My relative could not sleep in the bed. And I contacted the store immediately. I was told that they would pick it up after 2 nights and I be charged a 25% restocking fee which was agreed upon. Next thing I know after, I was getting the bunk bed delivery last night and noticed that this was a scam! The bed was what I described earlier and after informing the 'owner' of this, he decided then not to go with what was agreed upon earlier that afternoon. I felt deceived immediately. It is very unfortunate that the 'owner' knew to look for bad reviews immediately. I was the second person to even write something. When I came in the store today to receive a refund for the bunk bed set I returned, he informed me that the 'owner' decided to not take the 1st bed back and did not give me refund yet on the bunk bed set. I was told to come back for my refund. This owner he speaks of was not in sight according to the person writing this review. This alone shows the deceit involved with this business and the person running it. What a shame!!! This is a warning to consumers to steer clear of this business or experience the same or worse. I told the owner that BBB and other community advocates would be informed of their unfair business practices.

We were initially very excited about working with Fringe after reading about them in some of the…read morelocal publications, even though most of the coverage was in paid advertorials. Unfortunately, early on it became very clear that the designer was way off track in her selections and presenting a plan that had no flow or cohesion with the rest of the home; merely a laundry list of items to purchase. When we did our own research on the pieces presented, it was clear that colors, scale, and overall cohesion was way off and so we decided to end the relationship. We were initially required to sign a contract for her to commence with the work, but when we decided to move in another direction with our project, the designer was unclear about the terms of the agreement she required us to sign. In fact, we had the option of choosing $2,500.00 in furnishings, but were sent an invoice for $2,500.00 with no mention of this option. When we pointed out the terms of the contract to the designer we were turned over to the owner of the store who wrote a very curt email to us that didn't address our questions or attempt to proceed in good faith. At that point we decided the situation was getting too toxic to continue with them and just paid the invoice. We have worked with other designer firms in the past so we are familiar with design agreements and making sure that designers are fairly compensated for their work. With Fringe Interiors, we believe that we were taken advantage of by a sales person and an owner, both of whom were more concerned with commissions than with building a long term customer relationship or future referrals.

Fortunately, I wandered on over to Actualink Designs on December 22 at about 3 in the afternoon and told Mr. Martin about my dilemma. I told him what I was looking for with the caveats that I wasn't sure the project could be done at all, but if it could be done, I knew that it wouldn't be done before Christmas. Mr. Martin designed and made my shirt in 24 hours! It is perfect, and now it is all packed up and ready to head out to Kentucky in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow. Of course one should not count on Actualink having time for this kind of turn around, but they sure saved my hide this time! I found Actualink because they make the shirts for We Got This! and Andre Lee Ellis, so I know they do a great job on much larger orders too.
