We've had to SHUT OUR COMPANY DOWN due to the inability to process any more credit card transactions. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR BUSINESS. They will FAIL you and ruin your company. Either they are unbelievably lazy or incompetent or deliberately trying to hurt competition - DON'T TRUST THEM.

It was essentially a data recovery issue that would take a couple of weeks. He explained the lengthy process, taking up to 2 weeks due to shipment of a part, running a particular software and the actual data extract. I called back after a few weeks and he told me that the part they shipped was defective and would need to begin the whole process again. I know that things like this happen often especially with older computers so I was patient with the situation. Well its a couple of months now with no update. I've tried to email the contact and website, call both phones but the vmail tells me that the mail box is full. At this point I'm not really sure how proceed and would gladly take back my new external hard drive if they cant recover the data. Anyone else have a similar issue with them?

I was having difficulty finding a reasonable place to get my computer fixed. I have a Macbook and the screen had cracked so much so that I could barely see anything through what looked like blue ink leaks. I called around to at least 6 different places getting quotes on how much it would cost to fix my screen. The apple store said something around $800 while the wefixmacs guys said it would cost around $400. When I called Business & Home Computer Services, they told me that it shouldn't take long to fix a screen and that it would only cost me about $80 (I had already purchased the screen online). It ended up taking them an hour or two longer than they thought to fix my computer, but Mike and Julie were so kind as to stick to their quoted price. I ended up paying them as much as I could afford, though :). Mike was able to fix my screen without ruining anything else on the computer (not an easy task to do on a Mac!). It works wonderfully and I love being able to watch all of my TV shows now on a beautiful, clear screen! AMAZING service and I will definitely go back whenever (or IF ever) I need anything else fixed.

Cambria uses developers in the US, and in the Philippines - my experience has been with the group located in the latter - since their rates are lower. However, while the rates may seem attractive, the quality of work and communication are poor, and you may end up spending a lot more, taking a lot longer, and being very frustrated and disappointed. In addition to this, they seem to have high turn over in their staff, and they will shamelessly charge you for getting new developer's up to speed, which is quite appalling. As if that is not enough, unbelievably, they also decided to go over the original estimate without any warning, and considered some of the work 'out of scope' relative to the original estimate, but never re-quoted the job, so this was a complete surprise unti I received the bill. In fairness, they did end up admitting their fault and only charged for what was originally estimated. In summary, do yourself a favor and stay well away from Cambria Corporation for your software development needs.

During that time, I have mostly worked with two long term employees / programmers throughout all those years with additional support from others as needed. They are very supportive and provide excellent support with a fast response time. They are also fair and reasonable if any issues in or outside of the scope of work do come up. I think issues are a pretty common fact over the course of custom programming work so it's all about the communication. They are good to work with. I also use Cambria for my web and IT needs as we are a small business and don't need full time support. They have a knowledgable staff and great response time. They can either be onsite quickly or handle issues over the phone or even over the internet. Very convenient! I know and trust Cambria with my computer programming and IT needs.

Specifically, the system lacks a "Download All" feature, forcing users to manually download and save each document individually. This issue is further complicated by the fact that OpenGov does not preserve document numbering, requiring vendors to manually rename files to maintain organization. The submission process is equally tedious. After completing, printing, signing, and scanning each document, vendors must then re-attach them one by one. In contrast, other systems--such as those used by the City of Sacramento--provide a single, cohesive bid package with a cover sheet. This "one-click" approach for downloading, completing, and re-attaching documents is far superior to OpenGov's fragmented workflow. Consequently, OpenGov remains one of the least user-friendly procurement systems for vendors.
