Well Happyland was the first to call after being on the waiting list and I was hesitant because it was so small and not as fancy as Crosspoint. Once we were accepted and told our new friends that our son was going to Happyland people automatically asked how we got him in there because it's one of the more desirable schools in Niceville. I guess we got lucky. Once school started my fears automatically went out the window. it's a small class, they only accept a small amount of kids so every kid gets the attention they need. The teachers were great. I don't know how to express how amazing they were with my kid and how well they treated him. They truly deserve more pay then what they get and you can tell they love being there and interacting with the kids. I saw my kid grow into a social butterfly and each week he would come home more knowledgeable then the last. I saw my friend kids come home from Crosspoint, and although Crosspoint is also a good school I was able to tell the difference between what the parents told me and what was happening at Happyland. Crosspoint is essentially Wal-Mart and Happyland is the mom and pop shop. If you have the opportunity to get your kid into Happyland, Do it. Put yourself on the wait list and wait it out, you won't be disappointed. It actually broke my heart having to tell the school that we were moving and won't be returning after the summer. You want a school with amazing teachers, great curriculum, family environment with involved parents and teachers that's care, this is the school. I will always have a happy place in my heart for Happyland. I hope I find a place in Navarre like this.

Crosspoint is very "popular" and has a very impressive facade/website. Well... we got on the waiting list as Happyland and Crosspoint were all full at the time. My child ended up going for a short time to the CDC at the NWF college. While it's nice too, we got lucky and someone moved and we were called by Happyland with an opening 3 months later. Once my child started going there, she was really happy and social and was excited about going to school everyday (unlike the Previous preschool - but I think she was having some peer trouble there). She loved Happyland all the way through and loved being with her teachers, who are genuinely wonderful! We got a call a month later from Crosspoint as well, but at the time my child was so happy at Happyland that there was no way I changing schools. While I don't have personal experience with Crosspoint - my son who is just turning three is definitely going to be going to Happyland! Yes, we were THAT happy with it!

My son has been going to the Little People's Place for two years, and the only thing we are worrying about is having to leave this little kids' safe haven because we are moving out of the area soon. True, this place has no shiny hardwood floors or fancy furnishings. Instead, they provide your child with plenty of individual warm loving attention; their Creative Curriculum works great to help your little one develop to the best of their ability. The teachers are a wonderful family, very welcoming and open to kids and parents; there have never been any substitute staff. We always get feedback about our son's day, they text us pictures of him playing or discovering the world, they know his likes and needs. Best of all, they CARE. We have a feeling that when my son is gone from here, he will be missed, for real. And we will miss them for sure!

There was a miscommunication and I was concerned why my son was not offered to go on the field trip. And when my spouse decided to talk to Callie on the phone, she wouldn't let her get a word out and was bullying her. So we hung up on her because we couldn't get a word in and she was being extremely rude. Then the next day I get an email saying my children are No longer able to attend South Walton Academy because they cannot accommodate. It's interesting because you were able to accommodate since the beginning of the school year and take my money with no problem. I also asked for half of my money back for the month of March because I paid full month of tuition for my younger child. I also have not heard anything back about the remainder of these funds. I have NEVER NEVER Received any communication with them regarding my son's care plan. I gave them a copy of the care plan before he started school and I'm never received any updates regarding it. When I ask how his day was the only responses I hear are he had a good day. And the only constructive feedback I had received was him getting out of his seat most of the times while they are eating. So if the school did try to contact me regarding his care, plan updates, I would love to see the emails or phone calls trying to contact me. Do not send your kids to the school. There was also an additional mishap where she had to close the school because the school couldn't get their funding together and this has been an ongoing issue for 3 years now. She did not tell anyone or warn anyone till it was too and the day after CHRISTMAS.. And now my child is having to suffer because the owner does not want to deal with conflict. The owner stated that the school did not shut down however it did. Over half of the staff is gone because they did not get paid and majority of the students are gone as well. I should have followed them. Do not send your children to the school. Yes I did happen 2 cuss on Feb 7th and not a week ago however I did apologize. I also have not been rude to any staff member. The only one that I was rude to in accident was Jennifer through email which was a frustration talk to text that I had accidentally sent and sent an email. There has been no harassment from myself to the staff members. I received one email from Callie regarding my message to Jennifer. And I apologize to them both. I actually really enjoyed everyone and when I expressed my concerns, my child gets kicked out of school. I also waited for Callie yesterday morning when I was getting ready to drop my son off and waited and waited for her and she never showed up but decided to send me an email. I also have never signed or received a policy or a handbook guide from South Walton. Long story short do not send your kids here if you plan on sticking up for them. You cannot have a face-to-face adult conversation with these people because if you have any negative concern, they will kick you out and exile you. They took my review down off of Google because if most of you don't know you can as a business owner have Google reviews deleted or paid to have deleted.

We ordered my son a large book order. The books came in but never made it home. Got the run around…read moreand they just expect me to just overlook it. Then we are getting ready to move. I packed my whole house and no books. I send an email to the teacher to get his belongings. She says she will have them ready. I go to pick them up and guess what he has no belongings. Shocker! The last day of school the kids bring home their belongings but if you move, you do not get anything. My son also way diagnosed with a learning disability but does not qualify for any programs. Just wow. Enough said.

My 5 year old gets on a bus to go here…read moreeveryday, and unless she's being dropped off with a bunch of Children of the Corn in some field somewhere, I'm pretty sure she's in Kindergarten. Then again, she *has* been concentrating awfully hard on letter "C" and drawing cornstalks and scarecrows....oh wait, Halloween just passed. Nevermind. She has an awesome teacher. If I thought the teacher would feel comfortable being named here, I would, but with all the cyber gray areas, I'll resist the temptation to sing her praises by name. This teacher is fully engaged with the children. One day my child came in late and was reluctant to join the class and my cajoling wasn't helping. Mrs. _ took command, firmly but kindly directed S where to go when I could not - and blew me away with her adult to child communication skills. I almost felt like turning myself in to the principal's office for being a slacker. I check Little Daughter's book bag everyday and her in-school work is thoroughly checked for mistakes, she is given 'family' homework, regular progress reports, and updates. If I have to email her teacher, I get a response within a day, usually within hours. Once, she had a problem with another studen trying to take her lunch away from her. She came home one day hungry and explained that someone had taken her lunch (she's 5!!!) and she didn't get to eat. My initial response was to go all Ninja around corners and slink down the hall into the cafeteria and get that little 5 year old punk at lunchtime by the collar and tell him if he ever stole her lunch again, he'd better watch his back at recess. Then I realized that was not what a Mature Adult would do, and I emailed Mrs. _ , who had the situation rectified the next day, and Little Daughter out of his target zone. My only gripe is that there is too much junk food at the school. Gummy bears for treats, and the typical crap cafeteria food in every school. But they are trying; they are putting more whole grains out, the kids cannot use their pin numbers to charge ice cream to the lunch account(they have to have cash), so that helps it when it comes to cutting back on the junk. So I'm not deducting stars. Seriously, this is one awesome teacher. And overall, it looks like a great school.
