It's a long way from Los Angeles but Candy and the other practitioner in the class made us feel at home and spent time after the class to give us insights and recommendations on Concord. I worry about not keeping up or looking a mess. What Asa and his awesome staff have created here is a space free of all this. It should also be mentioned right away that the space is BEAUTIFUL! Its on the top floor of Phenix Hall, right where the old stage was. I came here because winter sucked, I was losing my marbles and also needed to lower my blood pressure. I started with their Beginner Basics series which is five classes over five weeks for $50. It introduces you to not just doing yoga and meditating as a group but also walks through poses carefully and thoughtfully with great cues to get you more connected with your body. Asa led that series and definitely had me committed to yoga as a practice by the second class. I started attending weekly basic flow classes with Tracy (who unfortunately just left.) That woman was the best. I got so much stronger over the few months I attended and got my blood pressure down to very good numbers. This was my therapy. It is an investment, but if you're living in Concord, you can likely afford it. I always borrowed a mat (they have some clean, quality communal ones) I paid $110 for a 10-class pass and that did me well for a while. I had been paying $27/month for the Y and $10/month for planet fitness and not getting anything out of that investment. My brief time at At Om absolutely changed my life. I'm very grateful for the unity I experienced with my classmates and instructors and the love I always left with. It was awesome. They also offer periodic events with live music, which seem really cool, but I never had the opportunity to attend. There's also workshops that help you work on particular aspects of your practice, like inversions or sanskrit. And some classes for folks with kids and special needs. Another thing I never made it to was their Sunday practice, where they filled the auditorium with people and even have a place for kids.

Don't get scammed by the manager…read more I recently relocated to NH from the west coast and have been an avid bouldering enthusiast for 15 years. This is the only climbing gym in the area so naturally I went to check it out and bought the 2 week punch card promotion with free top rope class. On first impression evo is a beautifully constructed climbing gym that is primarily catered to top rope. I was disappointed that the bouldering area seemed to be an afterthought. The second thing I noticed was that this gym is absolutely FILTHY. Chalk everywhere, every surface is coated with a layer of chalk the climbing holds are caked with chalk and grime. There seems be no daily cleaning being done despite the numerous amount of staff members on the floor. You can't sit on bouldering mats without being covered in chalk. This place is a COPD hazard. I was still going to sign up for a monthly membership despite these issues. However, on the last day of my 2 week pass I was called down to the front desk on the intercom. I wasn't sure why, but the employee notified me that his boss told him that my pass had already expired and I need to pay $20 for a day pass. This wasn't correct, I asked to speak with him and he insisted that my trial began the moment I paid online several days before actually starting my 2 weeks. After 20 minutes of explaining the terms of my contract to the manager and showing him what 14 consecutive days means, he eventually said that my contract was indeed still valid. The ordeal took so long I was late for work and I never got to ask if this mistake was due to the manager being incompetent, or if he was trying to commit contract fraud. I went back to speak with him in person and he denied any accountability and started becoming belligerent and banned me for life while screaming and cursing me out the door for questioning him. If you are a member, know the terms of your contract and if this happened/happens to you please report it to the NH attorney general. If you are a staff member, if the manager asks you to do something illegal, say no and tell him to go clean the walls. If you are the owner of this establishment, you need a new manager.

That's something I really enjoy at a rock climbing gym, and I can tell they value the importance of customer service. The facility is absolutely beautiful with high walls- many of which are leadable, new holds, and frequent new routes. The route setting is different, technical, and well thought out. I really appreciate the effort they put into their routes, and that is the main reason I choose to drive an hour to use the gym! They also have a great workout area and yoga room. This place is definitely worth the visit, and if you're a student, have your ID ready because they offer a big student discount :)
