After a series of unprofessional, lousy laser and electrolysis treatments in other beauty salons, I cannot express how happy I am to have found the You Clinic and Rachel. I was left with consistent hair growth on my chin and neck following laser after laser treatments, feeling it was my only option. Because of my skin type they were never able to get the settings right, and after spending over £2000 I decided it was time to try something else. I went to a local salon for electrolysis and after 1 year, despite being told it was improving and would take more time, I did not see much of a difference. I was left quite swollen for a couple of days following my treatments having to cover myself with a scarf to hide the embarrassment. The last straw was when a new, untrained therapist came and left me scarred for 6 months, because she couldn't even be bothered to use a magnifying lamp. I searched carefully for another salon and after reading a positive review I contacted The You Clinic. As soon as I walked in I felt immediately reassured. Rachel confirmed that she had been doing electrolysis for years and thoroughly explained the process and what to expect, which I can now confirm was all accurate. After my first session, the redness went down after one hour and I felt completely at ease during the treatment feeling very little pain for what it is! It has now been nearly over a year, I have spent half the money I did in other places and barely have any hairs left. Rachel Cross had come highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed. I had always been conscious of my dark hair on my face and body, and had tried the usual, shaving, waxing, plucking, you name it. She is the only person I know who guarantees her hair removal work which is fantastic and she removed all my unwanted dark hair on my face, bikini line, upper and lower legs and under my arms! A lot of work but very pleased with the permanent results and everything was always so clinically clean and my skin always healed beautifully. I've heard stories where patients at other clinics have been scarred and I had electrolysis with 2 other therapists from other clinics in the past and it never worked. I go to the you clinic at least 3x a month, i just cant get enough. I get a shellac manicure and pedi, the mani lasts at least three weeks and it looks so beautiful and my nails have really improved by the care they take each time. Magda is not only beautiful, a genuinely nice person and amazing at nails; i just want to thank her all the time, she gives me that touch of class only having nice nails can give you. I go to sonia for my waxing, i wont go into detail, but pain free and i love seeing her for a good old catch up! The staff are amazing, i havent had the pleasure of rachel but she still always says hello, asks how you are etc. and the massages-i cant even explain. i feel pretty from going there its such a pleasure and they treat you like family. Dealing with Polycystic Ovaries led me to hormonal hair growth around my chin and other parts of my body from a very young age. I could not be happier with the You clinic i have had about five ongoing sessions of electrolysis and i have seen a massive reduction in growth. Im so happy with the results, after i had the electrolysis i was so happy i wanted to do it in other areas the girls advised me for the areas i wanted to try laser as my skin is olive. i have now had about four laser session I'm again super happy. I was not sure at the begin if it would work but i can say that these treatments do work. Electrolysis with Rachel is the best I have ever had, and I had been to several in the past before her. They had always promised that they would stop the hair growth, but they never did. With her the hair eventually just stopped coming back. She is as painless as you can be with electrolysis. I have never had any problems afterwards.
