I very nearly put them in the bin, as I thought the very sight of them would be a reminder to me of my stupidity in leaving them in the line of fire! On the offchance , I asked Mr Constantine whether all was lost, and he was able to refashion the shoe, wrapping a piece of soft leather over the damaged area , and expertly stitching it all into place. You would never notice anything, and , if anything , the repaired shoe is the more confortable of the pair. The bill was a small fraction of what, in all fairness, it should have been. The lessons probably are twofold. First, we all are probably too quick to dispose of things which could be repaired. Second, this shop is a gem which should be valued and supported .

They only contacted me once over email to say that again the service was delayed (as apparently phones were not working....). My advice, go with a professional company for your move.
