My roommate played that game in college almost 30 years ago. Lets just say there are some surprises about what the woman learns about her sister and herself It is also very funny, somewhat sad at times and thought provoking throughout. This is a result of the script being well written(by a man, no less) and extremely well acted by the entire cast I do not normally go to plays or theater in general, but Company One just may change my mind.....Highly recommended

A colleague of mine told me about their performance of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) and said it was amazing. I love opera, but around here it's really expensive to go to the BLO and the like very often, so I thought I'd check this group out. My colleague was right. They did a phenomenal job with the performance. Their performances are open to the public and you can get tickets at the Harvard Box Office at the Smith Campus Center. The prices are incredible...$20 general; $10 for students/staff at Harvard w/ your Harvard ID. You really can't beat that price to see quality opera. The productions are all 100% student-run and I believe usually take place at the Agassiz Theater at Harvard University (in the Admissions building). See some opera stars in the making at the Harvard College Opera. Bravo to them for all they do to make opera accessible to the Harvard community.

The Boston Classical Orchestra is a hidden gem in Boston…read more They have 5 concerts a season, taking place inside Faneuil Hall. There isn't a bad seat in the small auditorium, and if you arrive early, there is often a pre-concert speaker that explains the history behind the music. The musicians are extremely talented, and some play in other orchestras in town as well. When Baritone Philip Lima accompanied the group in April, he was jaw droppingly good. The acoustics of the hall helped project his powerful voice, so that you felt he was singing directly to you, no matter where you sat in the audience. I recommend attending a BSO concert. If tickets are out of your price range, they often have volunteer ushers through Boston Cares, and ushers get to stay to hear the show.

Patrons are close enough to catch the expressions on every musicians face, emoting each note. (Only the front rows can see them at Boston Symphony Hall.) THE DEAL: If it's Spring or Fall, bring a sweater. The AC in the hall can be shiver inducing.

I wonder if she is just naturally like this or if I should attribute this to All that Jazz- either way, I think it's great and they've been able to support her confidence in herself. Miss Deb is wonderful and enthusiastic- upon our first conversation with her, she was so helpful in making a class recommendation based on age and her ability. I love that she's also passionate about supporting their learning, development, and building that confidence not just for the stage but in LIFE. The instructors are also wonderful. Miss Ellen and the assistants are just great with the little kids and really ensure a positive experience in the studio. Can't say enough great things, and are happy to have made this decision to participate.

Coincidentally, I was fortunate to see this year's show, Much Ado About Nothing, at Central Park's Delacorte Theater a few years ago and--it was a treat to see Boston's rendition this year. It was a perfect Boston summer evening (aka not totally roasting w/100% humidity, haha) & one of those nights when you think to yourself--I love this city. The Béla String Quartet played Beethoven String Quartet in C-sharp minor, Op. 131 - a revelation for me. The concert was held in a lovely historic home, with plenty of delicious food, drink and conversation afterwards. I highly recommend this group, beautiful music performed in lovely community settings. Very affordable.
