I was not sure when my 1st payment was due because of their "Free Month" promotion on their sign. I tried to call during office hours to discuss my bill! No one!! returned my call and I was charged the late fee! They also did not remove a second late fee for March. I had access to my unit on March 25th. No red lock out lock was on my unit. I am a new customer!! and with the promotion of "one month free," I thought my first payment was due in April. When I pointed out the fact that I had access I was told "He must have missed your unit." I paid for their incompetence!! No red lock out, no returned phone call which resulted in a second late fee! This is unacceptable as a business practice. I came straight to my unit after payment to confirm there is still not a lock out lock on my unit!! Poor business practice. No lock so they can keep just adding late fees to unsuspecting renters. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RENT FROM STORAGE SENSE DOWN THE STREET!! I rented from them for over 4 years without 1 incident. Will be going back! Nick's will not get another dime from me. Save yourself the hassle and poor customer service.

We attended a wedding reception in June 2023 at this facility. As we all know this was the hottest…read moreJune on record. The agreement was the guests would arrive after the ceremony and have drinks and relax while the wedding party took pictures. The hall would be set up and ready for our guests when they arrived. The wedding party was supposed to have champagne glasses and the tables were to be set up with the wedding colors: Olive green and dusty rose. and centerpieces. A family member was going to make the cake but the owner insisted she would take care of everything, it will be beautiful, don't worry about anything. Indicating the cake was included in the fee for the hall. Needless to say: The colors she provided were white and burgundy. No glasses for the wedding party at all. They used plastic cups! When the wedding party arrived, all the guests were sitting outside in the heat for over an hour. They had been told that no-one was allowed into the reception hall. They had been treated rudely by the owner of the business. The hall was supposed to be set up and ready for the reception hours prior to our arrival. The food and drinks that were delivered earlier that morning were still sitting in the main office area. The food was barely warm due to the crockpots being left unplugged. Our groomsmen had to move everything into the hall, while being followed by the woman that was supposed to have set it up already. The air conditioning had just been turned on in the hall. The heat was so over whelming, when we tried to prop a door open to allow air into the building, the doors were slammed closed and the owner was rude to the guests. The cake was the only thing that was set up before we arrived. It was starting to fall over due to the heat. The owner was asked to put the cake in the fridge, she snapped and huffed saying there wasn't enough room for the cake, so we moved things around in the fridge to allow room. When the DJ tried to move his table slightly to the right, away from the guests table, the owner had a fit, she was demanding that they pay her an additional fee, stating music was not allowed, and not part of the agreement. THIS IS A WEDDING RECEPTION!! Father, daughter dance. Mother, son dance. That requires music. The mother of the bride was threatened, that she would have to pay for the sprinkler system if she did not move her vehicle although there were no signs indicating not to park in any spot. We rented the hall from 3pm-9pm. We only used the hall for 2 hours due to the extreme heat as well as the owner walking around the reception giving the guests hateful looks and making snide comments. When asked about the heat, she snapped and said the air was on. If it was turned on the morning of the reception it would have been tolerable. There wasn't any toilet tissue or paper towels in the restrooms. She was told this and she didn't bother to put any in them. We cleaned up the hall prior to leaving. She approached the Bride as we were walking out demanding money for the cake she provided. When we requested a refund due to the condition of the facility, she would not even return our phone call. When we wanted to pick up the decorations we left for her to use (which she did not) she wouldn't return our phone call. This woman is a smooth talker until she gets your money. Then she does not follow through with the agreed terms. We would have NEVER used this facility for the wedding reception had we known how we were going to be treated. Needless to say, the bride left in tears! This was her special day. This woman ruined it, and didn't even have the decency to apologize. Save yourself the heartache. Don't use this facility for any occasion!

SOCO - We've got two locations to choose from, SOCO Bull Street and 808 SOCO!

Columbia's very own co-working space…read more If your not familiar with how they work, basically you pay a monthly fee for access to the office and amenities. SOCO has two spots in Columbia, one in the Vista and one in the Bull Street District. I prefer Bull Street because parking there is free, and most seem to want to work in the Vista location so the Bull Street one is more quiet while the Vista is better for more social driven interaction. The staff at SOCO are super cool and friendly, other business people there rule, and the community events are pretty cool. Rules are totally flexible, meeting rooms rock, free awesome coffee and beer everyday and much more. If you want a spot to work every once or even if your looking for private offices SOCO has you covered.

In love with this coworking space!…read more While traveling for work, I often play the coffeeshop hop which can get exhausting. You can only have so many coffees and teas in one day. Not to mention the never ending search for an open outlet to keep the laptop charged. For only $20, I got a day pass to SOCO and would return in a heartbeat the next time I'm in Columbia. The entrance is a bit hidden on a side street of Gervais. From there, it's on the second floor. The wood floors, brick walls, dim lighting, and open feel create a really nice atmosphere for getting work done. There is a kitchen area, couch, and a variety of desks (including a standing one!) to hang out around. For conferences, they do have private rooms that are normally just for members to use. And yes, there are more outlets than one could ever need. Members have 24 hours access and gain entry with a fob, while the main doors close at 5:00 pm to visitors. Thanks SOCO for letting me crash for a couple of days. I'll definitely be back!
