She met with my son for one hour and spoke with me for about two hours, only once in person. She neglected to follow up with any of my family or my son's teacher, but thought it was appropriate to meet my son at my ex husband's parents' home where she was introduced as a "family friend". She admitted to giving my ex legal advice about our case. She also had personal ties to his girlfriend's family which she neglected to disclose. Cheryl essentially watched from the sidelines while a long and costly trial went on and made a weak multiple choice recommendation. Her "report" was flimsy and full of errors and was not submitted to me or my attorney until less than 5 minutes before the verdict was made. Further proof of her bias and unprofessionalism, she referred to me as "June Cleaver" during her cross examination. I am still not sure what was meant by that other than to show complete disrespect and disdain for stay home moms. By the way, I only took off 6 months after having my child. I have a Master's Degree and have always worked part time. If you are even thinking of hiring this person, please take the time to contact me. Cheryl was the GAL in my divorce case and her actions throughout the process were unprofessional,…read morearrogant and egregious. She did not dig deep into our case at all and relied heavily on what was being reported to her by my ex, who, given that our case was a high conflict case, had every reason to sabotage me. She was not transparent about the process that she used to arrive at her recommendations and made it clear from the beginning that she doesn't think she has to do the work she should to truly investigate the case at a deeper level simply because she's been doing the job for a long time. She never met my children nor came to visit my home or my ex's home. She would not reveal anyone else that she spoke to about our case so I doubt whether she spoke to anyone. She did not act in the best interest of the children, but rather let her personal opinions interfere with her decision-making. She made disparaging remarks to me and about me as well as my current significant other (who she has never met) in front of my ex, enabling my ex to continue her path of toxicity and negativity about me in front of our children. She clearly likes the perceived control with little accountability that she has as a GAL and she uses her role as a means to exert power and control and rack up bills rather than to help make the best decisions for the children involved. If there was a more direct means to report her and have her removed from that role I would do so because I would never want anyone else's family to be impacted so negatively by her role in their case. DO NOT let Cheryl get involved in your case, your family, your life. You will most certainly regret it.

Attorney Amy Fry-Gallow's conduct in my case raises serious concerns about ethics, fairness, and…read morethe integrity of the process. Even after being provided with evidence contradicting her client's claims, she continued to present the same narrative to the court without correction. This included allegations about the child that were consistent with prescribed medication (Vyvanse), yet were framed in a way that contributed to extreme outcomes--removal from my home, supervised visitation, and unnecessary inpatient treatment. There was also a concerning level of alignment between Attorney Fry-Gallow and the Guardian ad Litem, which did not reflect the independence expected in cases involving a child's best interests. When that kind of coordination appears to outweigh objective evaluation of evidence, it raises serious red flags. Additional issues--such as reliance on questionable evidence and failure to address known transcript overcharging--only reinforced the lack of accountability in this process. In a custody case where truth and fairness should come first, this experience was deeply disturbing. Proceed with caution. She was opposing counsel and what a manipulating, lying, and inhumane person! It is sick how Waukesha County literally turns family court into anything they can do to get money.
