Due to recent medical , hereditary and most certainly dietary issues I have lately sadly dealt a pretty recent, thinning, most sad crop of weirdly stringy hair! Add the inevitable curse of my families prematurely greying hair, and you can imagine how disgusted I've been feeling lately from the neck up! As most woman do-we're pretty hard on ourselves with our body issues; so most unfairly (hah) add to this some thinning hair and it can be pretty miserable! I went into Hair Couture yesterday and met with the owner (Carolyn Brewer) and couldn't have been more happy! ***I never wore any kind of wig or even one of those ponytail things from the 70's!!*** Carolyn was so helpful, took her time to answer all questions, and I am SO happy with my new look! I am now the proud owner of 2 wigs that look so natural and great! I will definitely be back. Thank you so so much! As a wig "novice" I feel like I got my life back ! So coming here was our best choice for black hair products. Despite all the negative comments about the Asian owner. She was super Kool with my son and I. He showed her pics of what he was looking for and she even brought him around to pickup everything he needed. Maybe she was in a good mood that day. Lol. She was also nice with two other ladies in the store. I also saw criticism about her not knowing enough about black hair products to own a store. I don't believe she knows how to advise you on what you need for your hair. But she definitely knows the products she's selling. I'm pretty thankful she has a store out here so I don't have to drive 3 hours to Kansas City to get what we need. She has a huge variety to choose from and the store is clean. When i went to pick the costume up i was informed that only half the costume had arrived and the other half would not come due to no longer carrying the costume. This information would have been very great to have two months prior. I called the main company and was told to get the order number for the costume that they ordered. When i called for this they told me they would call me back with it so that i could get the costume online quickly. This never happened. So then i was told to pick out another costume, from the leftovers a week before Halloween. i did this and had them hold it for me until i got paid. When i arrived at the store to pick it up... they stopped me at the door and told me they had a break in the night before and didn't know when they were going to open. Leaving me without a costume for Halloween. TWO MONTHS!!!! i had everything figured out, until HALLOWEEN EXPRESS ruined my holiday! I will never make this mistake again. This store is unprofessional and a complete joke. Over priced and under staffed, and the staff they do have are idiots. Do not make the same mistake i did, other wise your Halloween will be very uneventful. I wouldn't piss on this store if it was on fire!
