You can't help but feel at ease as soon as you enter this light and airy salon. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice music in the background to while away the time. Really good products used on my hair......shampoo, conditioner, colour, serum and hair spray. Afterwards my hair smells delicious and is left nice and shiny. Whoever you book in with really listens to how you want your hair done and the cut is accomplished very professionally. Having my hair done is a wonderful relaxing experience and afterwards I always feel like a million dollars!! Following Covid19 the owner has installed lots of see through screens in between the salon chairs, also over the chairs at the sinks. The staff all wear masks and visors and the seats are thoroughly cleaned after use. The prices vary depending on what you are having done, but overall not bad. I fully recommend this salon.

Although fairly new they've built up a good regular client pool. I work just round the corner so I can pop there in my lunch break which is great! I have to say I've only ever had a quick 'you-can't-really go-wrong' fringe trim in there but the other customers always seem pleased with the results. The room was neat, tidy and clean and I would be happy to go back for the treatment when I have the money. They do lots of other beauty treatments and it seems like a nice environment to have them in. It's also out of town so there is not normally any problem with parking as you can just find a spare space in one of the residential roads.

A lot of the problems they deal with can be quite embarassing, yet the staff make you feel right at home. They are all really approachable and understand your troubles. They deal with tattoo removals, helping acne and scarring and pigmentation problems. They also offer general beauty treatments such as lip fillers and laser hair reduction. They are alittle on the pricey side but there's no price on vanity!

Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment. They also seem to be a favourite in the area to cut children's hair but don't worry if you have come here to relax - there is a firm notice on the door stating that children must be quiet and under control! It is certainly relaxing here, they keep the local radio on low. Aside from the hairdressers you can also get a massage and waxing of various hairy bits done here. The back rooms are split up into little modules for each of the treatments. Prices for haircuts are very good - I paid £16 for a wet cut and £2 for a quick fringe trim.

If you have a specific skin condition such as acne or scarring, they offer special skincare ranges for these - and if you're considering an expensive treatment they often offer promotional packages for a series at a reduced price. These are well worth looking out for (or asking about) because some treatments such as microdermabrasion are only really effective if you have a series of sessions - and you could end up saving yourself hundreds of pounds. What I particularly like about Sk:n is that all the staff I've ever encountered there have been really friendly and helpful; they're not intimidating in any way (unlike staff in some beauty salons!) and they offer Sunday appointments (and late night opening from Monday-Thursday!), which is very handy if you're busy working most of the week.

At the end of the day, I think I am paying a good deal of money and I deserve more respect in return. I am definitely not going there again.
