The salan was very well decorated, a llittle chic without trying to hard, and certainly not drab by any means. I'd had to rebook three times due to life happening, but they were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I'd had to drive round the block four times before I was able to park. This is the only drawback. I will not take away a star though, I was very happy and pleased and I am not easily impressed by hairdressers. They sorted a problem I've been trying to communicate to my usual hair dresser. When I suggested he use foils he did, but only highlighted certain areas of my head, I thought I would leave it in the hands of the expert. 30 minutes go by and he started to trim my hair - he took great care in the cut which was great - but was a bit over eager with the clippers and now is shorter than I have ever had before - when I asked to not take much length off the back and sides. I walked out of the salon and saw my reflection in the window - I looked like a zebra - where I normally have golden blonde subtle highlights all over to make my fine hair seem fuller - I had platinum blonde streaks through my hair and no hair on the back of my head. Don't get me wrong - Richard was all about the customer service and he was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with - but I was so unhappy with the results. After washing my hair at home and styling it as I normally would - I drove straight to the supermarket and bought a brown dye to cover it all up. I have a really important weekend this weekend and instead of having a really nice haircut, I'm wishing I hadn't bothered risking a new salon.

The hairdresser first of all used a high life tint this made no difference to the colour of my hair. I then heard her say to the other hairdresser that shed have to use bleach 30 per cent on my hair. This was applied all over my scalp and felt uncomfortable. The end result was not a good one people said my hair looked ruined the colour was between blond and ginger the hair had a distinct gingery tint. My husband said i looked allfull and i had lots of negative commentst. The next day i asked for help and a colour change so i looked half normal they did this for me and also charged me for this. I would not reccoment you go here. It pays to get to a more reputable salon my hair was ruined and i dont think they really cared

They are also a beauty salon and offer many treatments including a nail bar for manicures and pedicures, and they have very reasonable sunbeds. The price list is very affordable it was £50 for foil highlights and a cut and well worth the money.

It is a very modern salon (great for a small market town like Romsey!) but not intimidating at all, Sarah has many years of experience she trained with Tony and Guy and has now set up on her own. She also has a team of three young girls working with her and they are all up to date with new products and styles. I have my hair expertly highlighted by Georgie, everyone is so friendly and welcoming its like a family. Tea and Coffee is presented to you on a tray (filter coffee or small teapot - plus biscuits!!). A lovely head massage is also given to you whilst having the conditioner applied. They have now also expanded to do nails and I had my done by Siobhan free as a special offer for Mothers Day. Sarah cuts my hair, but there are also other stylists (my daughter usually has Georgie who is fantastic - and my daughter is VERY fussy who cuts her hair!), The salon is doing so well that Sarah is thinking about cutting only the clients that she has been with from the start, but I'm sure she will welcome new clients! With Sarah I have always felt that she has understood what I wanted and really listens to any concerns I might have. She is very good at picking up any anxiety and talks me through what she thinks will work. For many years I would go to the salon and ask for the same cut again, which was fine, but now I am able to say what do you think will work? and she just knows what is going to suit my face and style. I completely trust her judgement and the cut is always fantastic. Recently I had a new style which I was having difficulty blow drying Sarah sat me down and helped me understand where i was going wrong. They have also started to have VIP evenings and I recently attended one which was to offer guidance in blow drying techniques. Georgie is my colourist and knows whats going to work with my hair and takes a real pride in her work. I used to have a fabulous colourist that I was with for over ten years so it was a real leap of faith to trust someone else. I didnt need to worry as she gets it right and i'm always happy with the colour. (I have had to change my review as so much has changed in a year!) Sarah Barrett Hairdressing is now an AVEDA salon and have expanded upstairs. Also Georgie is going on Maternity leave so I have swapped to Lee now and he is brilliant too. The salon staff are always very welcoming and genuinely friendly. The conversation is easy and breezy, never difficult as it can be in some salons. Drinks are always offered you dont have to ask, nothing is too much trouble. The salon stocks a good range of products to choose from everything is well tested by Sarah and the team so they know whats going to work. There is good parking nearby which is handy on a rainy day. I cant recommend this salon highly enough. I travel from Warsash to Romsey just for the experience so it must be good!! Also my Mother has recently swapped to the salon after having colour problems with another establishment. She is very happy to have swapped over and is loving her new hair.

Having difficulty like so many, I went for an appointment where I was assessed, a diagnosis was given and a treatment plan was explained by Sally who was very thorough and knowledgeable. At no point was there any 'hard sell' to book in for treatment. My management plan was explained should I book back in for treatment and I felt totally looked after. I am booking back in as I was filled with confidence that the cause of my symptoms will be treated as opposed to just being given some possible prescription to over come the pain and discomfort I have. If you want an honest, professional and cared for appointment I can't recommend more highly Trowbridge Osteopaths and wellbeing centre.
