The last time I was at my residence located at 80892 Hwy 111 Indio, CA, I encountered James Montenegro right outside my home. He stole my keys and fled when I dialed 911. Prior to that, he stole my vehicle. I had a disagreement with an officer over the phone during these incidents. They instructed me to visit the courthouse to inquire with James in person about whether he still possesses my keys. Subsequently, I had a disagreement with a sheriff who claimed that James had given my keys to someone else, but I was provided with an address where the residents stated they do not know who James is. Since than, I have been stuck living at a Financial Guarantors current address/ Temporary Mailing address due to the ambulance dropping me off at the wrong location again. The Financial Guarantors who call themselves my family do not accommodate my additional needs( i need money for the locksmith); they continually assert that it is included in my cost of living at their current address. James Montenegro has recently passed away, and my keys and vehicle have still not been located. I am hopeful that your police department, or any contracted personnel, could visit my address 80892 and check if the residents at 80890 Hwy 111 Indio, CA have my keys or know of it's whereabouts. During my last conversation with 911 concerning these property matters, I was advised to remain in my vehicle until the police arrived. However, I do not possess a vehicle to wait in today. I had written it off a gone forever, but thanks to Detective Edney, was Recovered and Returned to me on December 9th, 2025. I know it's just a bicycle to most, but being my main form of transportation to and from work, the PSPD, worked hard to recover it. If I want to enjoy a nice breakfast on a patio or get a haircut I don't have to travel too far outside of my city to find businesses willing to provide them. If our world does evolve, someday it will look back on these "stay at home orders" and other extreme restrictions with near disbelief. It will be common knowledge by then that those who succumbed to or suffered long-term harm from Covid-19 were people with pre-existing health problems (especially immune conditions) which should have still been as extremely rare - even in the senior population - as they used to be long ago. In a healthy society a bug like this would barely make a ripple. I'm glad that front-line law enforcement personnel get a lot of sun, because vitamin D has already been cited as a major preventative factor. It helps to counteract the high viral loads they're sometimes exposed to. But vitamin D is only one of them - we need the full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, they all work together. We need plenty of vegetables. People need natural, healthy diets. They need to stop the continual assault on their bodies with the plethora of toxic substances that's considered normal these days, including common over-the-counter and prescribed drugs. The range of noxious chemicals harmful to the immune system that are breathed in, ingested, and applied to the skin these days is appalling. The young, the healthy, and older folks who know how to take care of themselves ought to be free to go where they like. The aged, the unhealthy - from what I've experienced and seen, they either don't know how to or don't try to take good care of themselves, so their immune systems don't function as nature intended. THAT'S the real problem. We'd better fix it or every future pandemic will be another economic and sociopolitical nightmare. real score: 0/5 stars…read more desert hot springs police dept sucks. never seen a police dept so careless and incompetent. they literally get paid to do nothing because they do exactly that, nothing! i filed a complaint in person at their office, spoke directly to officer duncan, gave my personal information and information of everything that was stolen out of my car directly to "officer duncan". items like my backpack with my college textbooks, wallet with my debit/credit cards. drivers license and also jewelry i had in my gym bag. i received a call from "officer" duncan over a month and a half, almost two months later, that he needs me to tell him my information again becaue the information he had on file was for a completely different car, wrong color, wrong items. if my stuff was pawned, pawn shops only hold items for a month so my items were long gone before "officer" duncan even looked at my report again, how did you get the wrong i formation when went in there and personally wrote everything down and handed it to you! i called my bank, got the times where my cards were used (times and dates that were given to officer duncan) i got video footage of the theif at the gas stations with my backpack and using my card. he even put his phone number for rewards points that is clearly seen on video. i literally did the police officers job within hours while the real officers did nothing with this information. this department is a joke. worthless and incompetent. if you need help, don't call dhspd they won't do shit for you!

He was a younger man, very polite and professional, they were quick to block off the road to avoid any other collisions or injuries. Dispatch when we called 911 was the sweetest, calmest and most helpful human ever, so thank you so much for keeping me calm during such a high stress time! I honestly can't believe how quick everyone arrived on scene, in a matter of a few minutes. They've come for complaints as small as loud music, to a trespasser having a manic episode. I'm thoroughly impressed. Every interaction they were polite and sharp. I've seen their AERO outreach team at circle K making welfare checks on the homeless population. I can't praise this department enough. I'm sure people have had bad experiences, but for me and my family, Hemet PD has had our back 100%.

They arrived within 3/4 minutes and had the area secured. Made sure there were no forced entry points . When it turned out it was just the house making old house noises, the officers were still very kind and able to make light of my situation. I truly appreciate the kindness shown even though I was embarrassed it ended up being nothing. Assured me it is always better to be safe than sorry. Wish I had the officer's names ! Thank you!
