I had removed the baseboards (antique 9 1/2" baseboards) to repaint. One of the larger pieces came up missing. I believe (no proof) that they used it under the roof. But I found replacements in the closets, so it came out well in the end. I would recommend this company.

The quality of the windows, as far as I can see at this point is just fine, time will tell, I guess. The install crew was great, punctual, friendly, answered all my questions, and did good work as far as I can see. The issue was between the salesman and the office with scheduling and time frame. The salesman left me with the impression that 6-8 weeks from the time of entering the contract until the windows were installed was the expected time frame. Two weeks after signing contract and paying 50%, I still hadn't been called to set up an appointment for measuring (which needed to be done prior to ordering my windows). When I called them, I was told that they were busy and would be calling me soon, but not to worry because me not getting my windows measured would not affect the install date. Well, being that they cannot install windows they don't have and they won't get windows that are not ordered, and they can't be ordered until they are measured tells me that is not quite true. It took a couple of more weeks after that to get them out to measure. In my many calls to the office for updates, I received a couple of promises to find out and call me back and did not receive said call backs when promised. Our contract was signed and payment made on 8/24/24. All windows except for one mis-measured and one damaged (they had to be re-ordered) were installed on 12/9/24 (15 weeks after being told 6-8) and the last two on 1/15/25. Had I known how long it would have taken, I may or may not have still used Window World. Had I been treated by the office staff like my business was important to them, my review would have been different. Our next project is doors. Guess who will NOT be getting a chance to give us a quote on that one.....

Instead of standing behind the product and workmanship, we were told that because ownership changed hands, they are "not responsible" -- despite operating under the exact same business name. We have begged for help, asked for repairs, and tried to handle this privately for months. Instead, we've gotten delays, no real resolution, and zero accountability. When customers spend thousands of dollars on windows, they expect them to last longer than a few years and they expect a company to stand behind what was sold under their name.

The work order was signed on April 10, 2025. We have no supplies or materials and only get contact from Gerald when we complain or question when the work will be done. Even then we only get vague excuses and promises. I notified Thermal Shield that the contract was expired and that I wanted a refund. I allowed 30 days for the refund. It is now November 2, 2025 and I have no refund and no communication from the company. We will be proceeding with legal action and notifying the Consumer Protection Agency of the Kentucky Attorney Generals Office. The work has not been started and now we read other negative reviews. We ordered a whole house replacement of casement windows - we received 1/2 of them IN THE WRONG COLOR with very shoddy installation work and never received the rest of the order. Despite many, many attempts to renegotiate the timeline of delivery and installation, the project is still unfinished more than 16 months after signing the contract. Yes - a lawsuit has been filed. Since I'm not a professional painter or door installer, I did not know this nor should I have to. Jimmy was deeply unprofessional and defensive and continuously spoke over me. We got all of our windows from them 22 years ago and they were great. I don't know what's happened to this local company, but it's a shame. I'm going to use Lowe's or Home Depot from now on.
