I dont know if this is just anger or regret.. but i, in my heart, believe that the way they dealt…read morewith my cat was.... straight up wrong. the nonchalant way they kept suggesting (and in their defense, i accepted) more injections and misdiagnosing .. or not ever properly diagnosing at all. i believe i prematurely brought my pets life to an end. i have heard bad things about this spot but because of its convenience, its location in relation to our home and work place, i turned a blind eye. maybe i am wrong, maybe i am overreacting.... but i did not trust this spot. and under their care i watched my pet die ... in an accelerated manner. ever since the first visit, my pet ...my friend... has been trying to recover from every visit to this place. worse and worse with every visit ... not before but after.... not trying to recover from her sickness... but from their "treatment" of it . from highly dismissive diagnosis to almost non existent directions (where i had to look it up on youtube to get the proper application for an ointment ... for instance)..... it is my fault for continually trusting this place. a good doctor will suggest what is best for the patient, not the cash register. this is not my opinion... this is what happened. In the end, when my pet was finally so weak and going to die.... we still went back here to put her down. we waited for over 30 minutes ... her final minutes, in the waiting room... with other healthy animals and cellphones ringing away. One would think that if you are running behind, and someone is bringing their loved one to die... you would give them a call in advance. maybe treat them and THEIR PATIENT in a caring manner. No, why bother... another dollar is another dollar after all. Finally ... when she died, she did not go gently into a deep sleep ... she gasped for life and cried out as she died in my girlfriends arms. I KNOW this is not necessary... she could've been sedated properly and the process not rushed... where she would not even be conscious of this. This is sloppy bad veteranian work and the way a revolving door business works. And again this is my fault for coming back here. i dont blame them for my pets death... she was old.. and it was inevitiable... but this manner of dealing with living things in such a non passionate way.... it is inexcusable... i should have gone with my gut and never gone here... or worse, kept coming back (they have her file etc etc). this is not an attack on this place or the people that work there..... but this is what i feel in my heart. for real. all of these reviews... i have no idea how they exist... all of my friends told me to not go here. i didnt listen. my little girl is gone now. I do not blame them for her death, but they did not do a goddamn thing to help her. even after blood tests and scans.. they still had no proper diagnosis or any answers at all... just another suggestion for another test..... their only solution was more and more visits...more and more drugs. my father, is going thru the same thing, more and more perscriptions... out the door so the next patient can come in.. another dollar sign. i accepted all of this, which i regret. if a doctor or vet is not willing to admit or suggest that maybe its best to keep your pet at home.. that maybe more drugs and visits can be detrimental to their health... would you trust them? would you trust a place that doesnt even defend their stance? that after talking and trying to reason and figure out their logic.. they say "maybe you are right"? i truly think that they are not fully concerned or have their heart in this.... this being veteranarian care. i think they have so many patients they cannot deal with the workload and are not giving the care for each patient they deserve. their patients arent people obviously, but that doesnt mean they are disposable. Whatever may be... the bottom line is ... you cannot end my friends life in such a nonchalant and violent manner. It is unnecessary and now it is in the past. Based on my experience combined with discussions that I have had with other vets, Dr. Marsig is one of the most experienced vets in the world. My personal observations over the years are that he and the veterinary profession as a whole appears to be undervalued. When they order tests, we complain about the expense and when they don't we complain that they should have. I can personally share that Dr. Marsig has umpteen times left the clinic late because I rushed in with an emergency and that Nela has spent many nights at the clinic through the early hours of the morning looking after the little doggies. On one occasion, this clinic made all necessary enquiries that led them to Germany to solve what appeared to be an unsolvable and deadly situation. During COVID, my neighbor who goes to a different vet and I both needed vet care and it was eye opening to see the starkly different approaches, serving as yet further confirmation of my love for this clinic. If I measure them by whether they can perform miracles, they will fall short but if I measure them by doing everything within their power as though these animals were their own, then they exceed expectations ... every time! It was obvious that he had sore gums and teeth, so had pain when eating; an infection which should have been prescribed antibiotics right away!! So he could eat. Instead, this vet gave us expensive ointment to put in his ear to "increase appetite" : didn't help; and sold us horrible can food which he rejected. I called a mobile vet, and being new, she prescribed only 7 days antibiotics: he actually got better and could eat again!! He was at stage 2 kidney disease and should have had antibiotics for atleast 2 to 3 weeks! He had one awful night on June 24th and his appointment with his original proper vet was in the afternoon. On June 25th, we fell asleep on sofa exhausted. He had passed away beside me before his appointment. Had Dr. Namdari treated his infection first with proper antibiotics, he may have pushed through instead of fighting this infection for 3 weeks!! I think this hospital charges a lot to gain profit over actually responding with correct treatment right away!!

However, they have some unreasonable policies that prioritize profit over animals and service. For example, I recently took my 12 year old cat in for a regular appointment and to have his teeth checked (he has FIV and a history of dental issues and we've spent over $5000 having his teeth cleaned here since we adopted him). I was told he should have another dental surgery for cleaning and possible tooth removal. LAH provided me with a quote which was good for 90 days. I decided to move forward with the surgery but didn't let them know until about 120 days after I received the quote. I was then told that the quote had expired and had to bring him back in for another check up, no exceptions. This was irritating as he is an anxious animal who hates the car and I had to take time out of my day and off work. I explained this but they didn't care. I went ahead and booked another appointment anyway. The next appointment resulted in an identical quote and we booked his dental appointment the next week. A couple of months later, during the week of his appointment, they called and told me they had to cancel because the surgeon was sick. They said they could re-book if for the next month even though they pushed his surgery beyond the 90 day window and he wouldn't need another appointment. To summarize.. they made me come back to their office even though it stressed out my cat, cost me an extra ~$150 in vet bills, required I take time off work and delayed my cats surgery. But they were fine doing that exact same thing just a couple of months later. Which proves that they never NEEDED me to come back in in the first place. I'm not happy but I trust the people that work there. I hope the company that owns the clinic re-thinks it's profit-driven policies in the future.

Recently, we brought him in after he suddenly started peeing in the house and wasn't mobile (normally he's very active, so this was alarming). We got an appointment the next day, and the staff even gave us helpful advice over the phone in the meantime. The vet was direct but kind and empathetic, walking us through the tests and possible outcomes in a clear, thoughtful way. Everything came back clear, and with some medication our pup is back to himself. The front desk team is also so lovely--despite how emotional that visit was, they made the whole experience easier. You know it's a great vet when your dog actually gets excited to visit. We've tried a few other clinics downtown and had awful experiences, but Queen West is the perfect mix of knowledge, empathy, and kindness. Highly recommend!

I took my baby boy cat to the Davenport Rd Vet Clinic in 2010. I asked for a quote for the neutering, as I realized the prices may be high (considering the first consultation cost $170 unexpected dollars). What was the quote? $500. CRAZY! Do not go here. The care and customer service do not equate to that kind of bill, I don't care how much you love your pet. The prices are probably high due to location. Annex, Forest Hill, Yorkville, in the clinic's backyard. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor making 6 digits. I love my guys, but I found a nicer vet, for a much more reasonable price, in the exact same area.

After we had been turned away by other veterinarians (The abysmal Animal Hospital of High Park) in an emergency situation, Dr.Munn took the time to asses our rabbit after-hours, deemed that immediate surgery was necessary, showed me a step-by-step photo breakdown of the operation he proposed, and was completely upfront about her chances of survival. Not only that, but the staff were more than generous in taking our financial situation into consideration. Three years later, our rabbit is alive and thriving (though minus an eye, several teeth and portions of her jaw) thanks to excellent emergency services and post-op care provided by the Greenwood Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Munn has been her vet ever since, and his attention, expertise and straightforwardness have always been impeccable. I've been consistently pleased with the cheerful desk staff and friendly veterinary assistants, who remember our and our rabbits names. Greenwood Park is the third veterinarian we've patronized in Toronto, and although their location is more than an hour out of our way, they will have our continued patronage for all of our animal care needs. This is the best vet in the city. (Also, if you're going to wait a surgery out, there's a lovely coffee shop called Grinder on the corner who don't mind pets tagging along)

Pet keepers put their trust in their Veterinarian, assuming that the doctor knows and prescribes only the safest and best treatment for the beloved pet. Therefore, I would NOT recommend this clinic. We are VERY grieved with the loss of our now-former, lively, chatty, intelligent and one-of-a-kind pet starling who was only 8 yrs. 4 months young (pet starlings if well kept, can live for at least 10 years). We were really pleased by how professional the doctor and team were, and were very glad that the vet tech gave us a call first to ensure we were in agreement with the extractions based on the situation of our pup (stage 3 periodontitis). I really appreciated that personal touch, because the team was patient with answering all my questions; putting my mind at ease. In the end, the bill came up to be a little bit over $800 along with medication and a post surgery follow-up which was better than I had expected. Our pup recovered in no time and healed quite well with no complications. All that to say, I will most certainly be recommending this clinic to all my friends even if it was a bit of a drive from where I lived.
