Where to start. My daughter ordered crystal champagne flutes for my wedding to her step father. She only wanted the dates on the glasses, no names. On the website, you have no way to submit the order without names, so in the name field she said" no names just dates". Yes you guessed it, that is exactly what was printed in the glasses. I went in to see the ornaments after looking online. The ipads didn't work which were required for personalization. Finally after trying three different ipads, I was asked to write my personalization on paper. Then I stood at the counter and waited for five minutes while watching staff do nothing. I wish I could be giving this place more stars as their products are nice, however their customer service is crap and they have idiots working in this store. I've been inside this store 6 times dealing with one item I purchased. They just can't seem to get it right and I don't understand why as it's not rocket science. I purchased a decanter engraved with a monogram on one side, happy 40th on the other side and 3 whiskey glasses to go along with it all in silver color for engraving. After placing my order in store I got a text 2 hours after saying it was ready for pickup.. once I got there and looked at my pieces all I had was the monogram engraved on the decanter and not happy 40th on the other side. She said oops... come back in 15 min it will be done, so I went back 15 min later and it wasn't done. I waited ANOTHER 25 minutes at the register for it and I finally said, should I come Back another time? She said yes it's not done... well, that was a waste of time as I don't live very close to this place. I went back the next day to pick it up, which I was in a bit of a rush and didn't look at the finished product. Once I got home that evening I opened the box to find out they engraved the wrong decanter! I purchased the correct one and they grabbed a different one off the shelves. Now I'm furious! How hard it is to engrave a product the right way. I went back the next day to speak with the manager that didn't offer to comp me anything for my troubles and just said we'll get it done ASAP. The next day came and I had a friend pick it up for me as I had to work and this was a gift for somebody for that evening. Once I received this from my friend and opened the box something was wrong AGAIN. It was the correct decanter but now everything was engraved in GOLD not SILVER!!!! WTF! I called the corporate office and all they wanted to offer me was 10% refund. And send out the correct one, I asked them what was the point as now I already have 2 decanters that aren't the way I ordered it and I don't need a 3rd one. This was a 40th bday gift for my brother that took 6 days to try and remedy when it should have been right the first time in 2 hours. Not only does the customer service suck in store but corporate too. Get your engraving done somewhere else! read more

I ordered two special gifts for my step sons that I see as just sons. One was an engraved watch with a personal message engraved. The other was dog tags with the same. Some how my order for the dog tags was canceled claiming they didn't have it in stock. I called the store location I was to pick the items up from in Wood Field Mall in Schaumburg, and talked to Michelle. She advised me that they actually had one in stock there and didn't know why it was canceled. She took the dog tags into her care and took the request over the phone. I explained how important these two gifts were and why. She was awesome!!! She said " Let me take care of this and make your Christmas for them right". Excellent customer service on her part, but she was very sympathetic to the situation and you could feel her actual caring for it as well. Because of Michelle I will continue to do business at this location with Things Remembered. Hopefully the company valve her being an employee and realizes her worth. YHANK YOU MICHELLE!!! Horrible horrible customer service, never again. Came in today looking for a Christmas gift for a friend. At first there was no other customers in the store. Got no greeting until I walked past her at the register. Had a question so I approached her at the register, felt like I was bothering her. Now there's two other people in the store. Another customer was picking up her stuff so I moved out of the way and started to fill out the paperwork. The clerk finished with the lady and moved on to the next lady that was in the store. Wait what about me!!someone ready to order and check out. Give you business, someone who pays your bills! A customer me! So I waited a couple minutes her and the other customer were talking about where the lady can find a specific item that they don't sell. I was so disappointed in the service, I left tore up my order form. I will do business with someone who wants my business. What a waste of my time read more

I went two times to the store at Woodfield Mall, the ladies have a very poor customer service attitude, mainly the lady with blonde hair, she was very rude pressioned me to decide. I was planning to buy many things for my wedding but with her attitude I only decided to buy 190 USD in wedding gifts, I've spent more than 500 USD in Things Remembered and I was not expecting to have this type of treat, I usually buy at Gurnee and they are very friendly. Go to Woodfield if you want to see bad faces and be treated as "doing you a favor" Ah ! And she also refused to register my ticket in my rewards program even I gave her my registration, because I didnt remember my zipcode... Its unreal!!! read more

Love the items they offer and can get personalized BUT their workers are the worst. So unhelpful and make you feel like you are bothering them by being there and God forbid you have a question, they don't even want to leave the counter. Get better employees in your store, they obviously don't want to be there with their actions. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. After 3 hours and 40 minutes I am still waiting for something that was supposed to take "2-3 hours" for a simple 3 letter monogram and one small graphic. No apologies, no offer to discount the item. Save yourself the frustration and buy elsewhere. read more

Went in today twice and was helped by Michael. When i came back in later he remembered me and let one of his other co-workers help me and informed her of what we were looking for. Very helpful with all the questions and let me know that i was able to order something that i was looking for online and have it shipped to the store. Horrible company that doesn't know what they're doing. I ordered TWO Noah's ark musical snow globes online, to be fulfilled by the store in Woodfield Mall. I received ONE in the mail, with the WRONG inscription, and the other one MIA. To top it all off, the music box that I did receive, doesn't work! Employees don't want to take responsibility.
