I was initially told I would have to undergo chemo so I wanted to be ready. Diane did not rush or push the product.. she was very relaxed, provided me with education about wigs. Diane then selected a 'topper' and it was love at first sight. Due to other health issues my hair thinned on top over the years and I have done everything medically to treat or restore the thinness. I decided to buy the topper regardless of chemo to make me feel whole again. The topper was so convincing my family, closet friends, and others thought I did something new to my hair and told me how fabulous I looked. The clips to the topper were perfect as the wind swept through my hair.. It looked so natural and did NOT budge.. comfortable as if it was not there, and highly breathable. Hand tied human hair of top notch quality and the color was a perfect match. Even when I thought I would have to undergo chemo I contacted Diane and she told me if I needed any help or to have the clips adjusted she would do this for me and she would do anything to fit me in.. Like I said I ended up only needing radiation. But I also gained a sense of who I was prior to hair thinning. I looked beautiful and when I choose to wear the topper people are still 'wowing' over my new look (which is not far off from my reg. style) even the part on the side of the hair which was custom made and the cut was perfect.. As well, although up-front, I was assured that for all of my service appointments, I would be assigned the service person of my choice, after just a couple of months, I was "downgraded" to other service people instead (the owner saves the best for his new customers). The other ladies were knowledgeable and did good work but are in a different league to the lady with whom I felt most comfortable - both in terms of her discreet nature and her gentleness (my scalp is very sensitive). In being such a "personal" type of business, it's important to work with someone with whom you feel at ease. Another important aspect to consider, is as you progress with this type of hair replacement, whereby snaps are tied tightly to your own hair, causing weak roots and fall-out, it's only a matter of time before you need to seek some other type of hair replacement, because you won't have any hair left to use this system. Last but not least, after paying over $2500 for a wig, after just 2 months, it showed signs of such significant damage, that I was unable to wear it. The owner blamed me and dismissed me without a backward glance, and I was left utterly vulnerable and forced to find an alternative hair replacement.

You are looped into various voicemails for the Stanford and Milford locations. Unless you have an emergency which I haven't tested yet, no one ever answers the phone. I had to play phone tag simply to schedule an initial consultation that was referred by another physician. When I asked for a better time to call so I could speak with staff, I was told that they don't answer the phone because they don't have enough staff to handle the calls and that I simply needed to leave a message and wait for a call back. I told her that I missed their call twice already because of that policy. Who does that in today's day and age? I think that they can afford for one person to pick up the phone when the phone rings so that patients can get information and schedule appointments. Not impressed. The Dr better be fabulous or will go elsewhere. Need Mohs surgery for skin cancer.
