They installed my first set of extensions after I lost all of my hair from chemo, and the results were incredible, especially considering how short, thin and fine my hair was. The extensions are super high quality. After a little over a year I went back and had a half pack added, and I honestly have never had hair that looked this good! m changing my review. I went to luxe aura for a hair extension consult. D gave me great advice to use beaded weft extensions. It was my first time getting extensions. I then got the extensions installed by Tia and went back every 6-8 weeks for maintenance for about 10 months. Everytime my hair fell when Tia did the maintenance and the last few times I noticed she pushed the extensiones up instead of remove them and re- install them. Upon traveling this summer a hair dresser told me they were not installed well and that caused my hair to fall out significantly more than normal. I am now on a journey to try and regrow lost hair using minoxidil. Though my experience with D was good. Tia got lazy and careless and contributed to hair loss I now have to recover. I won't be going back. read more

$3000 extensions that were advertised to last a year had to come out after less than two months due to poor hair quality. Despite following the business's care instructions, the hair matted constantly (even with near-hourly brushing) and ripped out my real hair. They installed beaded wefts (with half of the hair suspiciously cut off the weft at the seam), and then sewed additional wefts to those wefts, which is exceedingly odd. No refund, and the business submitted fradulent and falsely disparaging documentation when I attempted to dispute it. I had to have that hair detangled by an outside salon twice and the ladies working on it were horrified with the install and said that they did not believe the hair installed was 100% human as the business claimed. They never supplied receipts from their suppliers to prove it is. The suspected fake hair also failed a burn test, so pretty safe to say it is at least a synthetic blend. read more

My experience with Demetrius was nothing short of arrogant and unprofessional. I am very particular about my hair and I get it done often by top professionals. I'm not some casual walk in who hands over control blindly. To make things easy, I even brought a short video of my hairdresser in London, just a simple guide so he could understand my preferred technique. Instead of appreciating the clarity, Demetrius snapped that he wasn't going to be dictated on how to do hair and threatened to cancel the appointment altogether. This dismissive attitude is the hallmark of yet another hairdresser who likes to posture as an artist rather than deliver actual service. Professionalism means listening to your client, respecting their preferences, and working with them to achieve the best result, not acting like your ego is bigger than the chair you stand behind. If you value your time, your money, and your hair, steer clear of this salon and especially Demetrius. There are plenty of talented stylists out there who can balance artistry with humility. I am so grateful to Dimitrius for restoring my bangs after they were chopped way too short and thinned out with thinning shears at another salon (not one I've reviewed fyi) one week before my wedding party! I didn't know it was possible to add extensions to bangs, and the cut I asked Luxe Aura for help with was so bad -- uneven, tons of breakage, flyaways, volume lost. Normally I wouldn't care too much, but since such a big event is a week away, I was stunned to the point of tears as I left that first salon. I found Luxe Aura on Yelp and they responded quickly and asked for photos. We then talked on the phone and made the appointment. Other salons did not respond at all, or said it would take weeks to order the hair, so I was excited and grateful to hear from Luxe Aura. Yesterday, Dimitrius expertly added keratin tip hair extensions to restore volume and length. I couldn't be happier with how they look and feel. I'm so relieved because this wedding party will be one of the only opportunities I have to get professional photos taken with my partner, family, and friends, and it will be my first time wearing my wedding dress (which I was supposed to wear in 2020). This is a full service salon, and I've gone here for five years. After a recent moment of desperation, I decided to get a trim elsewhere. What a mistake! Walking back into this salon (even with a hack-job) is like going home to a warm hug. I started coming to just to get micro-beads on my leave out but got tired of running all over the city for one hairstyle and decided to try these guys for my sew-in too. OMG - obsessed - after 2 and half months (don't judge me) the hair was still secure! But for my own hair growing I probably could have gone even longer. Called last minute for a take down and while I was there was able to book another sew-in for 2 days later. Very professional, start your hair at your appointment time, super clean and are also easy to book. If you're nice, they'll even turn off the music you can take those WFH calls lol. I've been coming to Luxe Aura for a few years now, and I'm in love. The team is great, I'm always happy to see them and chat, and my hair looks so good! I do the micro beaded row extensions (with maintenance every 6 to 8 weeks). People often ask for how long you can use the hair, and after 14 months the extension hair still looks really good (see attached photo). What a joy to be pleased with your haircut! This is my feeling after having my hair cut by Betsy at YTF Hair and although it has Extensions in the name, this place does any kind of haircut too. She washes my hair with gentle hands and warm water and listened to my haircut requests. No girl with long hair wants to lose her length in a trim so Betsy understood this right away and got right to business. A snip snip here and there, and soon after some drying, I could see the healthy look of my hair return gloriously. She curled my ends in the blowout and straightening process to add volume and I was very happy with the final result. The best part of this experience is that the business honored the Groupon deal even though they thought it was down already. I was happy to provide tip in addition to this due to this accommodation. Also, it was raining outside by the time I finished with my cut. They saw my worried facial expression, and offered a shower cap to use while I find a more permanent solution. Thanks YFT! NEVER EVER GO HERE. I have had multiple disasters with these dishonest people. My first visit they had not ordered hair so they spent 4 hours dying Extentions (custom color they called it) and put this steel wool feeling hair in that itched so much I had to have it taken right out. They refused to refund my $1150 and this abusive stylist put in 5 bundles of hair, screaming at me the entire time to sit still, and %80 of this fell out the first week. What remained was so tangled I lost a lot of my own hair getting it removed. I have photos of all of this. I was told this was entirely my fault. They would not return my money. I've never even gotten a receipt from these people. They always say there credit card machine is down and I have to pay cash! So now I TRY TO WORK WITH THEM. They say I have to BUY MY OWN HAIR- but they will put it in for me at no charge. Which I do, but they tell me I only have a $500 credit out of $1150! This hair lasts a month, And I Go Back Again. The owner Demaris , puts me with an obviously inexperienced provider. After 2 hours my hair was not even half installed ! And now they tell me my credit is used. No receipt, EVER. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. This place is ran by nothing but amateurs. Don't let them fool you... they literally have no knowledge about hair! DO NOT SIT IN DEMETRIUS CHAIR!! I went in for removal of tapes and braidless sew in installation. As a first timer wearing tapes I had no clue what the removal process was supposed to be. Sure enough at Luxe horrible! He completely ripped my hair out removing these tapes (come to find out a 1 1/2 into my appt he was rushing to be out of there by a certain time). Then applies the braidless sew in.. it was so tight I ended up getting scabs and puss from where the beads were placed. And then he proceeds to "blend" my natural hair with the extensions after a horrible installation and cuts off over 3 inches of my hair!!! I had been growing out my hair for over 5 months due to a bad cut and health problems and this trip really set me back! I ended up going back and they did refund me because the manager probably didn't want to admit how horrible my hair looked and found somewhere else to help and try fix his mess. My hair was thin, short and, most importantly, was breaking off due to all the color treatments I've put my hair through. This was my first experience ever getting hair extensions, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But now that it's been a couple of weeks, I think I can give a fair review. I will probably go back, but there were a number of issues that made me uncomfortable and kept the experience from being a total success. But I mostly like the way the extensions look and because of that, I'd be willing to give them another shot. The day I went I had scheduled a last-minute consultation near closing time. I wasn't expecting to be able to get my hair done that same day, but the manager assured me they'd be able to squeeze me in. I should have stuck with my gut and only done the consultation, because the entire experience felt very rushed. Since I'd never gotten extensions before, I wanted to hear about the different options and see different hair etc. There wasn't time though, because apparently a lot of stylists had called out that day, so they only had one stylist and two assistants helping out. I tried to be a good sport, but it honestly just wasn't a very fun or pleasant experience. The stylist was super nice, but she seemed really frazzled and the assistants and manager were not helping at all. Beauty treatments are usually a way I de-stress, but there was so much negative energy in the salon that night that it was very stressful. The extensions were bleached really sloppily, even the stylist herself said they were patchy. She later corrected the color by applying a dark toner, which isn't a color that suits me very well but did fix the patchiness. I also can't help but wonder how much damage it did to the hair to be bleached so carelessly. It's been a couple of weeks now and my extensions are fried and full of split ends. The salon itself was also not very clean or tidy - hair was all over the floor, one of the sinks was clogged, and old hair was being re-used. And the assistant was horrible! She yanked a regular brush through my new extensions in a way that was obviously very painful and bad for the hair and left my hair completely frizzy after supposedly blowing it out. But despite all that, I'm willing to give them another chance, because at the end of the day, I'm happier having long hair than not. And judging from the mostly positive reviews, I'm willing to believe that maybe I just went on a bad day. read more
