I took an almost one-year-old baby here today. It is only street parking, but there were plenty of spots. The park has many trees, so there were spots of shade for us to rest. Many kids were playing at the park! But we played in the sand and used one of the many baby swings! This park is so much fun for kids of all ages! I brought a baby that's walking with assistance, and she had a blast! Other kids seemed to love running around and then cooling off in the splash pad. Highly recommend going here with your kiddos to get out of the house!

It can be quite the meet up place for young basketball players but the court is a nice distance away from playground itself. It's decently maintained and very clean which is always a relief. And the ground surrounding the playground is made from recycled rubber and is really soft and spongy. There's also a pavilion for parties and picnics. On the weekends it's usually in use for some sort of occasion.

You must be a UD student/staff in order to buy a pass or you can be affiliated with student/staff for a slightly more expensive pass. But all around great gym. Does get a bit crowded around certain times but I've never had a problem in the morning.

This past weekend I was again thrilled to be up in Dayton with my daughter, son-in-law and 2…read moregrandchildren. They live in Fairborn near Wright Patterson Air Force Base. My almost 4 year old grandson really enjoys riding his scooter and his balance bike (with no pedals) all through the neighborhood. We went out several times to do this and his favorite destination was to go to Wedgewood Park. It's a small community park that we can access at the end of a dead end street. Cars can also drive to it. There is a decent size parking lot and a jungle jim with 3 different size slides, tennis courts, soccer field and a swing set with both baby and kid size swings. Until recently the swing set and jungle jim were closed off due to covid-19. The park is seperated from the nearby homes by a cluster of trees. From our tables in the shade we could see the kids at the playground or on the swings. The turn into the park comes up fast and is easy to miss. So take it slow once you get close. BEWARE! Imagine you visit this Y from out of town. You put your things in an open locker to use…read morethe pool. Pool is closed so you use the steam room instead. After a steam you go to your locker to retrieve your things. The locker has malfunctioned won't open. you're in your swim trunks with no phone, no keys or wallet. The staff tells you there is no way to enter the malfunctioning locker. You're now STRANDED ! If you're lucky enough to have A friend nearby they can drive 45 min to give you clothes and a place to sleep. But what if you're not so lucky? You sleep on the floor of the Y I suppose. The maintenance person won't show up till the morning. When he does have to physically break into the malfunctioned locker, he'll insinuate it's your fault . DOES that sound like a RELAXING time at your local Y? Stay away. BEWARE!!

The path is in nice shape and the bike path is connected so longer runs or rides are easier to plan. The bathrooms could use some upgrades, but the picnic shelter is still pretty nice. I think the one thing I wish they'd do is continue the path inside the park somehow. Maybe over towards the baseball fields, but it's not a very long path in the park.

Grooming -- Influx of unpaid road and pave road out balance them selves. Elevation -- None. Scenery -- very picturesque type atmosphere, lots of nature, around us, such as trees, and vegetation. Family Orientated -- definitely family orientated, easy enough to bring your dog and/or small children. Populated -- usually not very populated due to the proximity of the area off the major highway. There's plenty of bike paths and trails. It has a few ways to get in. It has an entrance off Union Road which is good if you're on a bike. There's lots of bike trails here. If you go further on the road, you get to the main entrance. This has a good parking lot. It also is the most beautiful area. The best part is the lake, which is fun for pets. It's one of the best Metroparks. It has lots of bike paths connecting to the Ohio bike trail. You can also find other places to walk.
