Looks like it's recovered well from previous tornado damage, and is ready to welcome nature lovers of all ages. My husband said the receipt said we had 7 days she retorted THAT'S NOT OUR POLICY ! We all started hollering and she said we were in her personal space and she was calling the sheriff. We were on the other side of the counter! She kept repeating this so we left. THIS is customer service ? This girl needs to be fired! We will never go back to the Fairborn store again. There's a gazebo and a swing that makes things feel evening a little romantic. Also, how fun is it to see deer everywhere? My little boy loves the playground near the main parking lot. Grooming -- Influx of unpaid road and pave road out balance them selves. Elevation -- None. Scenery -- very picturesque type atmosphere, lots of nature, around us, such as trees, and vegetation. Family Orientated -- definitely family orientated, easy enough to bring your dog and/or small children. Populated -- usually not very populated due to the proximity of the area off the major highway. Although in the summertime and towards the spring, obviously it will get more and more crowded although it's not unbearable. 10/10

There's plenty of bike paths and trails. It has a few ways to get in. It has an entrance off Union Road which is good if you're on a bike. There's lots of bike trails here. If you go further on the road, you get to the main entrance. This has a good parking lot. It also is the most beautiful area. The best part is the lake, which is fun for pets. It's one of the best Metroparks. It has lots of bike paths connecting to the Ohio bike trail. You can also find other places to walk.

It's not a big park, but it does connect to the bigger Oakes Quarry Park. The Fen has a nice 5 or so minute loop on a boardwalk. You'll see lots of flowers and color. I wish they had benches along the boardwalk just to sit and take it in. I love that this park was made as it is a very unique ecosystem that you'd never know was there off of Byron Rd. There are some picnic tables and a port a potty in the parking area. Check out the Pen, it's incredible.

I had limited time, but did make it about 3/4 of the way around the main trail, with stops along the way to take pictures. Wonderful, varied scenery, varied terrain, and VERY scenic!! This old quarry has been "repurposed" and is a great spot to "get away from it all" without going too far. A good-sized lake, a few easy to moderate trails (the rocky lake overlooks are nice!!) and plenty of parking are what you'll find. No, not the best trail markings/maps, but if I figured it out, anyone can!! A great spot to discover in Greene County, I'll be back!!
