Communication was poor from the start. Calls went unanswered or were handled with zero urgency. When I needed my records sent to a new doctor, it turned into a long, drawn-out process with no follow-through. I had to call multiple times just to get updates, and each time I got a different answer or excuse. The worst part was dealing with the office manager. Instead of helping resolve the situation, she was dismissive and unprofessional. During one call, I was literally hung up on while "transferring" the call to the office manager, yet there was no call back and my next call went to voice mail and never returned. When you're dealing with something as serious as heart health, the last thing you should be worrying about is whether the office can handle basic administrative tasks. I would not recommend this office based on how poorly they handle patients outside of the exam room.

Today, I lost a beloved immediate family member who was staying at this hospital for over a month. However, the care she received and the kindness my family was shown throughout the past heart-wrenching weeks was phenomenal. While I stand firmly in my decision to give a five star review, I'd like to point out that hospital security is an area that could use significant improvement. To visit patients, all that is needed is to state the patient's name/room number, and a visitor sticker is given. Anyone can walk right up to the room, no questions asked. Sometimes, people just walk right past the desk and no one questions it. Everyone who enters a space with vulnerable patients should need to sign in and provide proof of identification, at the very least. The hospital also could use visible security guards (especially during late night hours). I felt uncomfortable walking alone from the hospital to my car in the parking lot during the night, after staying with family member in palliative care. It was a ghost town; there was no one to be found at the front desk, in the lobby, outside of the building entrance, or in/around the parking lot/garage. With that said, feel confident in taking your loved ones to this hospital to ensure that they are receiving thorough, top quality medical care.

I wished to have another procedure performed by the same physician requiring another examination and consultation? I would think he had a birds eye view durning the colonoscopy. After my examination the scheduler made three appointments and she wrote the dates and times on an appointment card. A couple of days prior to the first appointment I get text an email and the appointment has been changed to two hours latter than the written appointment I was given. Not a huge problem but I had made other appointments for that day and there was no warning of the change on their end. This practice is a 50 minute ride from my home in Milford PA. Needless to say I got to their office 15 minutes early signed in and waited for my now 12:30 appointment. I waited over 40 minutes past my appointment time with NO communication from the desk regarding the long wait time. I contained myself but one other patient got very upset and made a scene regarding the long wait and non- communication and walked out on his appointment. I soon followed. I will be looking for another practice that is more professional and affords more respect for their patients and their time.
