Since I was personally acquainted with one of the firm's partners, I asked for him and was transferred to his assistant. She was rude, unprofessional, and had no interest in assisting whatsoever. My intent was simply to inform that my reason for calling was an investments issue. She tersely informed me "she couldn't give legal advise" even though I didn't ask for any. I was merely trying to make sure I was in the right place for the matter at hand. Needless to say, the impression made was profoundly negative. If someone is calling a firm on a matter of legal import, the first experience and impression given should not be borderline hostility. Basic cordiality score......a hard zero.
