I went into mediation expecting a fair process and truly believed Kyle would do a thorough job…read more Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. I was dismissed multiple times, and when my ex presented paperwork claiming every tax year, I was told I couldn't have an every-other-year arrangement because of it--despite raising concerns that the information didn't seem accurate. The response I got was essentially, "He showed it to me, so that's what it is." After reviewing the same paperwork myself later, it was clear that conclusion was incorrect. That mistake has a very real financial impact--tens of thousands of dollars over the course of our parenting years--and I'm now expected to pay thousands on top of that. Beyond that, the parenting plan we left with was far from what I requested and lacked even basic details. He gaslit me when I spoke of true experiences. The overall experience felt rushed, like the priority was finishing the day rather than ensuring a fair and thorough outcome. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this mediator--especially if you're a woman hoping to feel heard and advocated for in the process.

Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience…read more I had a very frustrating experience with Cunningham Law Office in Missoula. Due to an unexpected power outage, my phone died and I missed a scheduled Zoom consultation. I had previously called and spoken with the receptionist, Emily Rogers, who collected my payment information and confirmed the appointment date -- but no time was ever provided during the call. Later, I was CC'd on an email stating that "[DATE] has been scheduled," and that updated confirmation letters would follow. I never received any such letter or actual confirmation with a time. When I realized I had missed the meeting due to the outage, I immediately sent an email explaining the situation and apologizing. I never received a response. No one followed up. I was never given the opportunity to reschedule or even speak with Mr. Cunningham. Instead, I received a bill for a consultation that never took place. I completely understand that time is valuable, but professional courtesy and clear communication are just as important--especially when someone reaches out in good faith to explain a situation that was out of their control. This experience left me feeling dismissed, ignored, and unfairly charged. Based on how poorly this was handled, I cannot recommend this office to others

Very disappointed. Hired her to represent me and $10,000 later went from 60/40 custody to nothing…read more She did not defend me- rather let my verbally abusive ex. and his lawyer (who doesn't even practice Family Law) hammer me and embarrass her. I would not ever recommend her- even to my worst enemy. Considering reporting her to the board.

Katherine represented me during my paterinty case to see my children. She did a terrible job…read more Communication was slow. I could only get a hold of her by email and it took her days to respond. And when the actual court appearances came she was woefully underprepared. She let the other lawyer dictate everything even though i was the plaintiff. She did so little that even the judge was trying to stand up for me. During the two court dates she spoke only a few sentences. The majority was answering yes or no your honor. My case was complicated as the was no precedent for the situation I was in, but the defendant's lawyer brought up an old case that I now know didn't apply to my situation. I asked my lawyer if she had any type of counter for it and she said yes. She proceeded to say nothing as the judge gave her multiple attempts at a rebuttal before she finally ruled against me. The judge tried to help me so many times that she apologized to me in front of the court for ruling against me. To make matters even worse while we were waiting to enter the court she would ask me advice on her other case where her client had the same profession I did. She never spoke me after the ruling. I even tried calling her and leaving voice-mails. The only time she responded to emails after that would be weeks after I would email her to have the rest of my retainer refunded to me. Which took months while she kept pressuring me to let her stay on as my lawyer for future cases. I wish the was a way for people like to be disbarred everything she did let me know that she couldn't have cared less about my case even if she tried.
