Where do I start? Hmm well, it started in July of 2023, when I enrolled my daughter. Ke'von the…read moreowner seemed nice, but there was something that I couldn't put my finger on for some reason. I don't trust daycare and she knew that before enrolling my child and she promised that she would be in good hands, but that was a lie. There were no many things that didn't add up and her attitude and the attitude from one of her twin daughters would be off from time to time. Before I get into the list of things, my old phone broke so i don't have all the screen shots and call logs to list but I do have some. So, in the beginning literally the beginning she told me the date I can bring her and when I did she was not there, and I waited but she never showed up saying she said another date, when I asked multiple times before I left from visiting the daycare. There are so many inconsistencies with her: so many times I have been late because of her personal issues with her youngest and the school bus. One time her youngest wanted a donut so she stops at the gas station to get her one and the vehicle she was driving broke down and I had to wait until she could reach her son to bring her to the daycare. There was always something that made me late for work multiple times a week. Always some excuse. When I first started going there was a room around the corner where the cubbies were and she said " you're always welcome to come to the cubby area". We'll, I did that one time and saw what looked to be a full sized air mattress blown up on the floor, and the very next day there was a sign placed up saying parents cannot go past the front door. The big one is when I picked my daughter up from the neighborhood nest she has a nasty sore on her forehead. I asked Ke'von what happened and she said that she didn't know, but she can write a report since it did happen that day. From there the were a couple days where she said she knew because something similar happened to one if her twin boys few days after and she'll wrote something up, but then switched up on me. I texted her and asked if she could write a report and just say it happened, but didn't see it, and she said no, but could write up something saying that I think it happened there. And what do you know..... the very next day I got a long text from her saying that she has to let the families go because she has been cited twice and when I went to pick my daughter up Ke'von switched up again and said that she has to let three families got!!! How ironic that I wasn't letting up on her about my kid and now we had to go. So funny right? Before leaving she said she would refund the money and that she wouldn't be funny about it. We'll, as you can guess I had to keep asking her and when she finally did she told me to lose her number, which was fine with me, because my child wasn't going back there. Let's back up to before the final day and note that my mom brought my daughter to the daycare for me and had them both stand outside not coming to the door for anything in the world. My mom tells me about it and I call Ke'Von to see what was up and she lied saying she didn't see anyone there but she heard something. How funny she didn't see anything, but had the ring cameras outside for her daycare. So, my mom who had to work that day as well had to make a double trip back there after I made th call to Ke'von. Another thing there was a time where she didn't come to the door at all, no answering the phone or text message then her mom sends a random text saying that she Ke'von was in the hospital and will be back, but I can't remember when she said she'll be back and that she meaning Ke'von's mom will be running the daycare for a day and when i dropped my daughter off there was a random man in there who i was told was Ke'von's husband. Nobody said that he was going to be there. I don't like for any male to be left alone with my child in a facility or not with my child. If i had known this I wouldn't have taken her there until Ke'von was back. The whole thing was suspicious. I think she was in a mental hospital due to how her moods change rapidly. Fast forward to the end of 2024 and since she had told me not to contact her I asked a cyf caseworker to call and ask how I would be getting my tax information that I needed fo file taxes. Ke'von never returned his calls to both numbers listed in the website. He left multiple messages and nothing. My mom even went up there to ask and she told he some nonsense that since I didn't pay her directly I would have to use the brightwheel app, well, I haven't been registered with that app at the neighborhood nest since maybe mid may of 2024. I even called both the numbers listed on her website and left messages and even sent an email before that and nothing. Now, let's fast forward to last Friday February 21,2025 I stopped past there myself and rang the door bell and some female came and closed the blinds and never opened the door.

The daycare's normal hours are typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but she's operating late into the night, which seems suspicious. It's unsettling when there are no visible children or cars, and the hours of operation--from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM--only add to the suspicion.

From day one, it was clear that this wasn't just a daycare, it was a second home filled with warmth, care, and genuine love. The staff are exceptional, nurturing, patient, and truly invested in each child's well-being and development. Our children were not only safe and happy, but constantly growing, learning, and thriving. The balance between structured learning and play was perfect, and thanks to the strong foundation they built here, both of our kids transitioned into kindergarten with confidence and curiosity. We especially appreciated the consistent communication, thoughtful updates, and open-door approach of the teachers. We always felt informed and supported. Leaving APTG is bittersweet, it's hard to say goodbye to a place that has been so special to us. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will be truly seen, supported, and celebrated, A Place to Grow is it. Erika Mom of Jake and Elin
