Best school out there, I don't care about the Texas school. Love the students.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The instructor, which was the owner of the business started…read morethe class (Unarmed Security Guard), with his introduction describing himself as an "hillbilly", "a**hole", and "politically incorrect". These types of introductions are RED FLAGS for TOXIC and NARCISSISTIC behavior. He also stated that he doesn't normally teach "pukes" and was filling in for someone else. He said that if anyone gets offended easily that the class isn't for them. I KNEW I was in for a ride. The class was filled with stereotypes; racially insensitive "jokes"; gender biases; micro aggressions; socioeconomic stereotypes; ethnic/cultural biases; politically charged statements; outdated information; sexual orientation "jokes"; unlawful information that may result in untrained or inexperienced person who relied on such information, to possibly face fines, suspension of license, criminal charges, civil rights violations, termination, etc; subjected to the use of profane language; and even requested to perform compensable duties duties while receiving a paid service (client); amongst other things. By the second day I was exhausted and SICK of it, along with others in the class. Before testing, we were told to clean "his house" before leaving for the day. I noted that the restrooms had not been cleaned the entire weekend, and we were given instructions on where the paper products were so we could replenish them ourselves. I disagreed the restrooms, as I had not agreed to this beforehand when signing up for the class (in conversation with another classmate). The owner/instructor overheard a part of our conversation and told me in a loud and aggressive tone, in front of the other attendees, "take the test and get the fuck out then". I was appalled by his behavior and his actions needed to be addressed. He went outside to smoke a cigarette and I spoke to him about his statement. He attempted to cut me off stating that he didn't want to discuss it, while placing his hand up. I told him, that it was unprofessional to speak to me or anyone else in that manner, especially after only hearing a statement from a conversation that he was not involved in. I told him that a lot of us had exercised due diligence in maintaining the bathroom, but others kept trashing it. Most importantly, it is no one's responsibility here to clean up after grown adults. The owner/instructor then stated, "he is glad that his mother taught him how to urinate without getting his hands wet". I said that isn't hygienic, hand washing is still required. Again, Steve did not address his unprofessional and inappropriate behavior and was dismissive of the real issue. I obliged Steve's response by taking the test, successfully passing it, and leaving without cleaning "his house". I would not recommend using D and D Security Training to anyone. Steve has the mentality that everyone taking the unarmed course is experienced, incapable, uneducated, and ignorant. Some of us are taking the class because of goals beyond the obvious. The irony is that everything Steve taught in the class, he did the exact opposite. "Do as I say, not as I do". He treats his clients "students" like "trash" . There are plenty of other DCJS security training facilities out there.

Just went through Courses 05E and 75E. Very informative and thorough…read more I would recommend any Law Enforcement / Security Professional to get their training here.
