Hi, I was Blessed to be invited to join a girl friend & her daughter for a Tea with Mrs. B "Tea with Santa" Event yesterday. The whole day from start to finish was filled with loving attention to detail and consideration for each guest no matter the age. I came here for a friend's bridal shower & it turned out so lovely! It wasn't a traditional afternoon tea stuck sitting at the table instead it was relaxing getting to sit on the comfy couches/chairs getting to know everyone and self serving ourselves. Very disappointed with my interaction with the business owner, Mrs. B, via phone today. My mom and I wanted to host a baby shower here, and she refused to offer us a day/time to come see the venue in person, even with asking for a non-refundable $250 deposit. I explained that we were happy to accommodate her schedule, and even so, she refused to let us see it in-person. Very unprofessional and disappointing, in my opinion. Why would I have guests come from out of town to not know where exactly we are taking them? An online tour is certainly not the same thing as seeing a venue in person. Tea with Mrs. B was the perfect venue for my daughter's bridal shower. You could instantly feel the charm - we loved the chandeliers, pink lace tablecloth, and variety of fun hats to wear. The mini savories and sweets were nicely plated. Our favorites were tea sandwiches (egg salad and cucumber & cream cheese), fig & goat cheese biscuits, scones, and cream puffs. There's something truly magical about this place. My daughter attended for a day over the summer when her preschool was closed, and I couldn't have been more impressed. I was a bit nervous since it was our first time, but from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most courteous staff. Their calm and kind demeanor immediately set a positive tone, putting both me and my little one at ease. The space itself is enchanting, with an array of activities for the kids--from crafts and dress-up to etiquette lessons and special treats. When I arrived for pickup, all the children were sitting at the table, singing a special song, politely asking to be excused, and helping to clear their places. It was pure magic, especially for my 4.5-year-old. The best part is that the experience didn't end when we left. Not only did my daughter have an amazing day, but she also came home beaming, full of stories about the fun she had. Even better, she was noticeably more polite and helpful in the days that followed. Tea with Mrs. B is a cute place to throw a kid's birthday tea party or bridal shower. It's super girly! I was here for a friend's bridal shower. Upon walking in, you see all this girly decor. It looks like all the tea sets and decorations from your grandma's house. There are plenty of hats hung on the wall, if you want to wear one. One major thing I'm not a fan of is the food. Besides the easily put-together turkey and cheese sandwiches, none of it is made in-house, which would be nice. All of the little bites (mini quiche, macarons, etc.) were store bought. The tea was alright. In our event, the table was in the middle of the room, neatly arranged with the food. There were no chairs around the table. We all sat in various chairs and seats towards the entrance. Located in an industrial part of the city with very limited street parking. read more

Because of the pandemic, me and Mrs B pivoted from being in-person at her beautiful tea room to being online, so we could offer her community a Magical Math Tea Party. Mrs. B's clear, direct emails to her list of raving fans and long-time repeat customers led to 27 people registering for our math tea party for 3rd graders and up and 57 people registering for our tea party for 1st and 2nd graders--a total of 84 registrations! Then, without me even asking, Mrs B sent out *hand written notes* in the mail (with one of her beautiful branded tea bags tucked inside the envelope) to everyone who had registered! OMG!!! This made everyone feel so special and also excited to attend! At the actual events, over 80% of those who registered actually attended, and almost everyone stayed for the entire hour, which is absolutely phenomenal for a virtual event for kids, especially right now. During the events themselves, Mrs. B has an innate gift for understanding and connecting to young children, really engaging them in a way that is lighthearted and delightful, that leaves them feeling energized and happy. I've done versions of this presentation by myself all over the country for the past five years, and collaborating with Mrs. B in this new way made me so much more excited about sharing this offering in this new magical math tea party format! The "Ultimate Experience" is the only way to describe my granddaughter's 5 year old birthday party at Mrs. B's enchanted venue. We walked through the door and stepped into a fairy tale-like setting adorned with fresh floral arrangements, an expansive balloon bouquet, and an exquisitely decorated table including beautiful linens and trays of tea sandwiches. My 6 yro daughter has now been to two tea parties at Mrs. B's and absolutely adores everything about the experience , as so I! Even during the covid pandemic , Mrs. B's has found a safe way forward ! They now host private 1 hr sessions for a minimum of 3. A few other moms and I decided that our little girls ( ok and us moms too ) could use a treat! So we pooled our money together and took our pod of girls to a private experience with Ms. B. As always the space is meticulously decorated in celebration of the seasonal holiday and how appropriate for a Valentine's Day treat ! You can tell the amount of meticulous detail from the colors of the floral arrangements, right down to the color of the frosting on the scrumptious sweets served . My little ones favorite is the dress up . She absolutely loves playing with all the fancy dresses and jewelry . Big hats , bubbly baubles, and fuzzy feathers , colorful fans .... so much to choose from even the other moms and I jumped in on the fun . Mrs. B ways of teaching etiquette to the girls is not only fun but heck I learned a few things too . She teaches in a way that is fun , through song and she is very engaging with the children . Our little pod of girls totally loved her and cannot wait to do this again ! I'm so happy that despite covid Mrs. B's has found a way to stay open . They disinfect everything and, allow ample time in between parties for cleaning. They also took our temperatures and required everyone to takes shoes off and hand sanitize upon entry . Understand everyone has their own level of comfort during the pandemic but since these are private parties and only Mrs. B and one other staff member are there we felt very comfortable the entire time ! It has taken me to a month to cool down and write this review, I don't even know where to begin. First, Mrs.B insulted my daughter and I in front of the rest of the entire group multiple times, with her quirky little ways of correcting people. We found her insulting, and quite frankly hurtful. She even insulted one of her hosts in front of everyone and made her take off her sweater because it was "taking away from the vintage dress" Mrs. b had made her wear. My daughter ended up crying in the car because of the way she embarrassed her multiple times during this event. Second, the Santa---and truly my biggest hurt and honestly something my daughter will never get over, told her that what she was asking for for Christmas she shouldn't. She was asking for a snowboard and he told her because she's never done it before and she doesn't know if she would be good at it so she shouldn't ask for it. Are you kidding me? My daughter is extremely athletic and now every time this season she has been learning to snowboarded she hears him in her head telling her she can't. At the end of our snowboarding day today, she said mom every time I buckled in, in my head I heard Santa saying I wasn't good... No child should ever have to experience that. 3rd... this event and facility is recommended for girls under 5 (at oldest) no where in the website does it say that so when we showed up we were shocked, instead of the hosts adapting they treated our girls rudely and as an inconvenience because they were older. Lastly, when booking our reservation, we were supposed to have 1.5 hours there. With more than 20 minutes left to go, the entire staff started clearing our unfinished plates and stacking our chairs right out from under us. I am not even touching on the food and tea in this post because all the other problems are way more significant. I do not recommend AT ALL. read more

We hosted a bridal shower at Tea with Mrs B and had the best time. We are lucky to have such a fun party venue local to Falls Church! The location is tucked away in an industrial corner of the street but the inside will blow you away. Every aspect of the venue is meticulously decorated with tea party artifacts that make for great photos. They provide fun fancy hats too! The staff did a great job of coordinating throughout the entire process and provided great service in tending to our needs and having everything prepped upon the start of our event. Catering was an easy and seamless process with the staff - the food was crazy good too. Especially recommend the scones, couldn't get enough. The only thing to note is the parking situation and the rather small selection of teas for a tea party venue. Parking gets a little tricky with a larger parties as parking lot space is limited and side street may not always be readily available. Highly recommend Tea with Mrs B to anyone planning a fun tea party event! read more

Went here for my bonus daughters Covid bridal shower. It was very nice the service was great, we had to bring our food but they served it up on nice dishes. We brought Champaign and Wine and they would fill or cups. The parking situation is a little bad as there are only about 3 spots and the noise next door from a gym or something like that was a little noisy. But besides that it was a great time, I do think for what we got vs what we had to bring the price was very high for 10 people. Threw my daughter's bridal shower at Mrs B's yesterday and it was so lovely, delicious and beautiful. Kind of silly to say I threw it because Mrs B's handled everything and missed nothing! I got to enjoy the party with the my daughter and guests while the servers set everything up beautifully and all the special touches I asked for (signs, favors, flowers & balloons) were perfect. The catered treats were delicious, especially the cream puffs! Mrs B's does offer cakes but I got mine from my daughters favorite bakery and they displayed it and served it while my daughter opened her gifts, as requested. I was able to sit with my daughter and not worry about everyone being attended to........priceless. Cannot recommend Mrs B's enough if you are looking for a truly unique, special, personal Bridal Shower. My daughter absolutely loved it which, of course, was my ultimate goal! read more

Their camps in normal times are wonderful, including for boys - both my daughter and my son love going! And in COVID times, Mrs. B has stepped in to fill a desperate need for working parents by providing a safe and loving place for kids to get social interaction and schoolwork done on Mondays (Arlington asynchronous days), a break on school workdays, and just general fun and normalcy through their scheduled events. This is an absolute gem of a program in the NOVA region (I don't know if anything like it exists anywhere else, for that matter!). Parents all talk to each other and know what kids programming is the best--I don't know a single parent who doesn't love Mrs. B's program. Kids of ALL STRIPES are welcomed into this extremely loving environment where Mrs. B and her staff (all long-term staff who we've gotten to know well over the years) are exceptionally talented at connecting with every type of kid. I have two boys with very different personalities and they equally love attending Mrs. B's programs, even if they're the only boys there (haha). Myself and other parents have even asked if Mrs. B could create a program for parents to teach us the language and tricks she uses with our own kids to get them to be so positive about the good habits and behaviors that she teaches them. She truly has a patent-able way of working with kids, and whenever there is a day off school or a week of summer with nothing to do, Mrs. B is our most sure-fire way to keep the kids happy. I threw my best friend a baby shower here and it was even better than expected. All of the women got really into picking out fascinators and necklaces for the tea party. The finger foods were yummy, the staff was really organized, and everything went seamlessly. This is a great venue for a baby shower but especially if you want a place that handles everything for you. We just arrived a few minutes before the event started and everything was set up and decorated. I got only positive feedback from the guests and the mama to be was even more glowing than usual.
