The total tax came out to $2,500 and as soon we found out it was handled in 48 hours by the children. Apparently, by law, he must pay the Lawyer who initiated the process, and that fee came to a total of $5,629.14, which my father doesn't have and already barely gets by. This is extremely unreasonable and takes advantage of the process. I could imagine some templated documents' addresses, names, contact, and Certified mail would be to the extent.

I left because I made a complaint of the mistreatment by Lori to two of the partners, but they turned a blind eye and allowed her to continue treating me this way for several months. When Lori heard of this, she went to another partner to corner me into a 90-day probation and accused me of things I did not do so I walked out. This was October of 2015. Since then, I have referred several Person Injury cases to Eddie, around 15 or so (imagine the money he's made from my referrals) and there were never any issues with those. So, I called with my neighbor who had just been rear ended with three minors in her car at 55 mph on Tuesday (July 26th) and told the new receptionist who I was and what I was calling for. We made small talk about how I used to work there, and how I also know the routine about taking information for the attorneys and we laughed about it and asked if this was a new case and I said yes. She put me on hold and came back to say that he was not available and even confirmed back to my neighbor her call back number for Eddie. The next day my neighbor gets a call from a Melissa, Eddie's new assistant, saying he will not take my neighbors case because I called yelling, screaming and cursing at the receptionist!!! I am now at a loss for words as the woman I spoke to, this was not the conversation we had the previous day. First, why would I curse and scream at someone I do not know? And second, why would I act in that manor if I was calling to give a personal injury referral to Eddie WITH my neighbor on the phone? And third, I have NEVER acted this way in the year and a half I was at the firm. So, I wait until the following day and call back again and finally get Eddie on the phone. He apparently was told that I called screaming, cursing and raging on the phone when I have NEVER had a reputation of this kind of behavior. Eddie himself said this did not sound like me and he was confused. Point being, this law firm is not the same and much much less professional then when I was there and would be much more successful and professional IF they had professional people running it. During my time there I catered to ALL clients we had come in. To make lies about someone you do not even know and refuse to help a family who had nothing to do with this is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD not to mention unethical. From my time there I thought we were helping people and families in need but since I left I can see that is not first on the agenda. To have to completely different situations occur to me specifically within a 7 year gap and the managing partner will still stick up for who he chooses instead of what is right even when he knows the truth himself. They will only help you if the receptionist and the Office Manager like you which in my opinion is discrimination!!!! Hopefully they can realize this before the next client they treat this way files more than a complaint. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS LAW FIRM AGAIN! Good work or not, nobody likes to be discriminated against or treated unfairly and I will not embarrass myself by ever getting a phone call back from someone I referred to help with an injury case to have them be disrespected by getting a phone call back like that. This law firm has gone down hill and if I can give the female staff a negative 20 I would!!!!!!!
