Outstanding experience with Thomas. Obviously a master at his trade. Called him, he immediately scheduled to see us at our home in Peoria for lawn tractor repairs. We sent him a few photos, he pre-planned his service call and came prepared. He throughly inspected our mower and offered other recommendations for necessary repairs. He did not put pressure on to complete optional repairs. Our undermaintenced mower worked well after he finished. Super interesting dude. Great conversationalist. Excellent local small business guy. read more

Not that impressed. I talked to him about the symptoms and had him replace blades and belts on my lawn tractor at the same time. I wanted to be sure it was worth putting money into since it was old. He did not do any troubLeshooting for the problem and after $400 it still has the same problem. He was unable to get the mow deck back on the tractor so we were unable to confirm that it was done correctly. When I talked to him about it, he didn't want to come out so far and have an argument about who was paying for what. He started talking about the transmission being bad and $500 and that's why he should have figured out what was wrong before doing all the work. I will not use him again and would not recommend him to anyone. read more

I had an old Briggs and Stratton reel mower that was given to me. It wasn't running very well and my DIY tune up skills weren't up to par. Thomas was available on a Sunday morning for me to drop it off and talk me through my options. No other shop was open so I was glad he could fit me in. Thomas was very clear on his process and kept me informed so my expectations were realistic. Once my repair was complete the mower was cutting better than ever, it was night and day. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work completed. I would certainly return to Thomas for any mower repair needs in the future. read more

I am THRILLED with the results Thomas accomplished for me - and at a very reasonable price. He got my old Tiller going again, and explained what I need to do to keep it going. I am also very impressed that he explained up front that I may be throwing good money away due to the age of the machine. When I explained my goals and the time constraints of my project, he understood and stayed within my budget. I bet 'Ol Tilly will be around for years! Old school service, honest, polite, knows his stuff! read more

Finally I found someone with good prices and that is honest. I had a mower, and I thought it needed carb work. He gave me a rough est. Then when I picked up the mower, it was $25 less. He said it didnt need as many parts. Thank you Thomas. read more

Incredibly TERRIBLE service!!! Thomas would not commit to an ETA as to when my mower would be repaired. When I asked when he could get to it stated he wasn't sure because it was "getting hot out and I don't like to work when it's hot." After a week I called again for an ETA, again he wouldn't offer an ETA because he still needed to get a replacement tire. Since the tire was in Scottsdale he didn't think he would be picking it up any time soon. But if I wanted to go get the tire and bring it to him he might work on it sometime. I finally got him to commit to having it repaired by August... today is May 2nd. I really don't think I will ever see my mower again at this point. read more

I went to technical school in 1996 to become a small engine mechanic. I worked in the lawnmower repair trade until 2001 when I became self-employed as a lawnmower man. Since my start, I have learned to weld, work on the trailer, fix electric mowers and tools. Which I now do professionally.

I'm Thomas the Lawnmowerman. I moved to the Valley of the Sun in 1991 for the sunshine and the great opportunity it affords. I have liked lawnmowers since I was eight years old and had to push the middle handle because I couldn't reach the top one. I went to a small engine repair school over twenty years ago and haven't looked back since. I still take joy in pull starting power equipment. The friendliness of this industry and the customers I meet; make it easy to get out of bed and go work in the morning.

I was looking for a reliable, dependable, and honest repair service guy to repair my 24' long trailer. Luckily, I found Thomas on Craigslist and gave him a call. He was very friendly, and showed up to my warehouse within 30 mins to inspect my trailer. After quick inspection, he gave me a price quote and had it repaired in same day. Price was very fair, and he gave me very honest opinion about additional preventive repairs that may cause more damage to my trailer in the long run. I have dealt with other service repair people who are wanting to over charge me, but Thomas was honest and upfront about all repairs that are needed. No hidden charges. Overall experience was great. I felt very comfortable doing business with Thomas, and I will definitely call him again for any needed repairs. I usually don't give 5 starts, but his service deserves one extra star. read more

Looking for a person to repair and tune up your lawnmower who by the way loves and knows lawnmowers ? It's Thomas. I brought him a Briggs and Stratton mower that had trouble starting and would die out after 30 seconds of running. It only tool about 5-6 days and I got my mower back. I took it home and did not try it for two weeks. I took it out and on the first pull it started up and it seems to run faster with no hesitation or variance in the motor speed.. Plus the blade is sharp now and he did a small weld job on one part of it and tightened up the loose handle. I like it when someone knows what they are doing and just what needs to be done with no sales pitch. That is Thomas. I am pleased. read more
