Almost everything is handled by non-lawyer employees. Insurance companies know that, they make way-low offers, which are almost always taken. Two friends were injured in a classic wreck, they had the green light, middle of the intersection, a driver on his phone plowed through, hitting the Right-Side Door. Car video caught it all. One of the injuries was unusual, the passenger's hearing was dramatically affected. I called a couple retired PI lawyers I respected, described the case; after two of them suggested Marc Lenahan, I quit and called Mark. He has a reputation in the legal community of taking cases with unique injuries and pursing them vigorously. The clients were amazed: he called and talked with them for over an hour, explained how he practiced, their options to choose other counsel, talked about their damages, "If you do want to hire me, here's my address, call and make an appointment." The Insurance Company Adjuster made offers that were insulting, a couple thousand dollars, take it or leave it. This wasn't "major", just two good people whose lives were changed forever by a careless driver. Mark handled it the same way he would a million-dollar case. I was disappointed with the lack of transparency and communication toward the end of my auto…read moreaccident settlement process while working with Brittany. During earlier conversations, I believed the amounts being discussed referred to reductions in medical bills rather than the actual amount I would personally receive from the settlement. Unfortunately, this misunderstanding was not clarified until much later in the process. I was also uncomfortable when a recording of our phone conversation was provided as proof of my acceptance of the settlement amount, as it felt dismissive of my concerns rather than an effort to clarify the misunderstanding. Additionally, I was told that the attorney would look into the possibility of reducing the attorney fees since I would still be responsible for several thousand dollars in hospital bills. However, I never received a clear follow-up regarding whether that discussion took place or what the outcome was. While some staff members were responsive and professional, improved communication and greater transparency would have made this experience significantly less frustrating. Such as informing me there were liens from medical bills before the settlement was finished. As this was the second time I had retained this law firm for an auto accident matter, I reasonably expected the process to be handled in a manner similar to my prior contact. Based on my experience in this matter, I do not feel comfortable recommending this firm to family members or friends at this time
