We recently purchased a condo in Maui as our vacation home, and we decided to renovate our dated…read morekitchen and bathroom. We found South Maui Kitchens and we are so glad we did! Tony and Mona are the owners and they are the best people to work with. When we met with them at their showroom which is very beautiful by the way, we went over the design options, our budget, renovation schedule, and most of all - the logistics of living in the mainland and having the renovation done while we are not in Maui. They understand our concerns totally since they are doing quite a number of renovation projects for mainland clients like ourselves. They assure us that they will take care of the project from A to Z unlike other contractors (where you may have to find your own plumbers, electricians, etc.). And they sure did. First, Mona designed and sketched the layout for review. After a few changes, we got to the final design. We then made selection of the countertop material, kitchen sink and the cabinets, which are kept in stock at their warehouse. The selection is quite modern, classy and high end looking, not cheap stuff that you would find at other places. We knew we found our esthetic match. (This is important to consider since it makes your renovation go a lot smoother without having to wait for orders to be shipped in. In general one doesn't find many options to choose from in Maui compared to the mainland). We ordered our own appliances and bathroom sink from local big box stores. We provided Tony and his crew the keys to our place and they took care of the rest. One incident highlights their professionalism. Our countertop should have been cut up to be carried up to our top floor unit. But since Tony wanted it to look "right", he paid out of his pocket to have a crane carry the piece of countertop into our unit via the lanai! Tony and Mona's philosophy is that their quote is final without extra add-ons later. The results are spectacular! We couldn't ask for anything more! South Maui Kitchens truly went above and beyond to make our project a priority for them. They are so accommodating and easy to work with. They went above expectations to deliver a quality product for us at a very fair price. I can not say enough good things about them. I highly recommend South Maui Kitchens and believe you will be very satisfied with the service and the product as well.
