Ben was amazing - I wish I had found him months sooner, after a few trips out to Maui to try and "tile" paint our vanity, only to have it scratch right away he came in and saved it with his Hydrastone product. We liked it so much we had him do two more vanities for us a few months later. Ben was super responsive, provided quotes through text, was honest (mentioned he had gotten some of the product on a towel and offered to replace it) left the place cleaner than it was when he started, and even replaced the faucets for us as part of the project. I cannot say enough good things about the HydraStone technology that Ben from VF has! I have been a home flipper of over 100 properties for over 20 years between LA and Maui. This was the best experience ever! Literally. The highlights are: 1) I did not have to do any demolition or lose any cabinets, sinks, faucets...etc, 2) My total down time was under 2 days, 3) There is no ugly seams, unlike most granite installations. This is what I normally face: a regular kitchen remodel is largely due to the age of the surface (i.e. tile, formica..etc). At this time, like most people, I might as well replace the cabinets since I was to demo the surfaces. And since this would be true for the kitchen, the bathroom would be the same scenario due to the same age. The total cost for a kitchen in LA would easily be $10K. On Maui is minimum $20K. With downtime average of 2 weeks. Which means additional mortgage. So my total cost out on Kitchen, Bath, and mortgage would be around $20K for a LA and $40K for Maui for a typical 1 bedroom condo. However, this time, because I found Ben and tried him out, this time, I did not have to lose my cabinets, sink and naturally the faucet. And with the downtime of 2 days, the mortgage loss is minimum. So Ben easily dropped my total cost down by more than 70% for typical Kitchen & Bath remodel. So needless to day, I will be using Ben frequently in the future. As a matter of fact, he is schedule to do two more projects with me in 30 days. A condo and my extra large garage floor. So with fast, good, super performing material, with amazing customer service professionalism, I have to give Ben a 5 stars review! I would give him a 10 stars if Yelp has one! read more

I was little worried bcs I have never heard of this kind of surface before. First, I asked Ben to do our small guest shower stall. It turned out very nice so I decided to do the kitchen counters and backsplash in white. I always love white kitchens but the condo we purchased had black tile. I love the new white counters! It really looks wonderful. When the sun is refracted, it looks like glass. Ben was always on time and worked thoroughly. He listened my requests (I'm picky and detail oriented person.) and delivered right away more than I expected. Besides Ben is a very well mannered young man who I can trust. I had a concrete stamped floor at my house in haiku & it was hard to clean and retained water which created a musty dirty smell. I came across bens work on craigslist & he came and created a beautiful... I mean BEAUTIFUL flawless floor for my home in only 3 days! It's so smooth & there's no crevices or grout lines so it's been super easy to keep clean. He even put a little area outside the shower of a non-slip material for extra grip. I'm so impressed on both the functionality of my floor but it's also just so pretty. Ben did an awesome job with our kitchen counter tops and island. We initially seen his work from my brother's place who referred us to Ben as we were in the process of renovating our kitchen. Initially we were going to have the same pattern as my brother's but Ben suggested to add gold accents into the piece that made it stand out more. The island counter is normally the place to hang out when you have guest over and is the center piece to our kitchen. I found Hydrastone through an online ad over a year ago. I thought the service and product was very unique and saved a screenshot of the ad. A year later we moved into a new home and started remodeling right away. I am all about instant gratification. I remembered the ad that promised a brand new kitchen counter in 2 days versus the 4-6 weeks wait for granite. I loved the fact that the existing counter surface did not need to be removed. I contacted Ben and he was very prompt to respond, to visit the property and to provide us a quote. 10 days later the project was in full swing. Everything was on a quick turnaround. We are excited how our kitchen and bathroom turned out! Ben redesigned a custom-built, extra large tub and the tile backsplash surrounding it and built us a gorgeous kitchen counter and backsplash; all in less than a week.
