For reference, RaceTrac's are massive back in Atlanta...and I miss them so much! Now that I got my fan-girl moment out the way, I popped into this RaceTrac to top off the ole tank and grab a snack/drink. I love the RaceTrac coffee machine's, so naturally I scooped up an Iced Coffee for a short drive home to East Nashville. The store was clean, well stocked and in decent condition for a gas station. While I do not end up in Hendersonville often, I now have an extra reason to go that way on occasion!

And service is "meh" at best. Convenient location, but not a pleasurable experience stopping by.

He had change in his hand and was getting ready to pay when John, the "store assistant," gave him a demeaning look and asked where he got his money. Disgusted, I asked John why that mattered and told the man to grab whatever he wanted from the store, and I'd pay for it. John didn't like that. He refused to let the man take anything more and only allowed him to leave with the coffee and donuts he already had, giving them free of charge just to stop me from paying for him. Then, John refused to sell anything to me or my girlfriend. He set our candy and drink aside and wouldn't let us buy them. The customers behind us tried to pay for our stuff, but John wouldn't let them do that either. Then, he refused to sell them the alcohol they were trying to buy. The customers walked out, cussing him out (rightfully so), and John cussed them out in return. When we asked John for his badge or ID number, he refused to give it to us. His badge says "store assistant," but he claimed he was the manager and said he didn't care if we reported him because he'd been there 7-8 years and everything is recorded. It's two days before Christmas, and John treated the homeless man with pure disgust and hatred. His behavior was heartless, mean-spirited, and petty. What kind of store allows someone like this to represent them? This is exactly the kind of behavior that destroys any faith in a business.

I think they made a mistake on processing my tickets at first then I had to come back later in the day so they could correct it. Thanks to the brother behind the cash register at night time with the Jamaican accent and to the daytime guy with the hat and glasses. I appreciate. Even if I don't win anything, the help is appreciated. The desk to fill out your tickets is small, probably only for 2 ppl to write on. There are scratch offs too to play. Lines can get long but they're efficient. 5***** for the service I received from the workers 3*** for location and convenience store itself. I stayed at the Gaylord opry resort so the walk here ( Is a bit (if you don't have a car, the walk is ~0.6miles one way). At least you get kind of a workout in for the day, 30min walk one way depending on your pace and traffic. They have bathrooms too which is often used by passerby travelers filling up on gas. Bring a scent deodorizer to be safe lol. Bathrooms are next to the lottery counter desk.
