She is a disabled person and experiences chronic pain daily from many symptoms. She had to reschedule an appt once with his office. They didn't like it and when she rescheduled it the office scheduler gave her a MONDAY appt for spitefulness and retaliation knowing their office is closed on Mondays. Once when she was there for a procedure, we heard Dr. McLaurin make a derogatory remark about the patient just outside the door. This behavior is totally unethical and unacceptable. To mistreat a sick person is very low. I wouldn't take a dog to Dr. McLaurin. I would hope some of his office staff is above this level of humanity.

Now fast forward to the present, I had to get "another" filling done and this time the Doctor hit a lingual nerve in lower left side of my mouth and it caused my left side of my tongue to be numb. I was REALLY mad.... then on top of that I was told that it could take weeks to months for my tongue to heal. And to top it all of I was also told that he didn't do anything thing wrong? After that I just had to leave, I was getting ready to go off on him. I will NEVER EVER let the Doctor there work on my mouth EVER AGAIN. It's not worth the pain and trouble.

But I was taking care of a dying mother so I really didn't take time to ask too many questions so when I went back 6 months later I asked about those and I was just told my insurance didn't pay for that. So essentially they were letting them right out of my head until they could give me the dentures that Medicaid will pay for. I found a way to pay for a grand out of pocket to get crowns put on to the teeth that needed it. And those didn't even get sealed properly you can feel the seam with the tongue. I didn't know that shouldn't be how it is. I went back to ask a dentist who was substituting the day I was there about why I didn't feel exactly right he tapped on my tooth, to ask me if it hurt, and when it didn't he said you're fine then. Good to go. I recommend going to third and smiles over by kroger. They're not cheap but they actually do quality work. Mortenson messed me up very well. If I ever end up having to be on Medicaid again, I'll do something else or just not go at all. You might as well not. Let them right out of your head until you need dentures. That's what they're going to do.

I told them I just wanted a regular cleaning but they refused to do that, they would only do the specialized treatment cleaning, and sent me on my way. Basically, I had a bad cavity on my front tooth. They told me it was merely a coffee stain, even though I don't even drink coffee. They refused to treat this cavity, yet they would clean my teeth and perform extractions and repairs. Then without warning, they disappeared. I found a new dentist. Thankfully, the new dentist recognized the difference between a stain and a cavity and saved my front tooth.
