Luckily for Kingstonians, just a sturdy 30-minute walk to their Columbia Sportswear store at the King's Crossing Fashion Outlets. It's all here ... the raincoats, the winter coats, the hiking shoes, the polo shirts, the shorts, the other multitudes of outerwear and sportswear, the camping stuff, and the rest. When you go to an outlet store like this, the BIGGEST deals are on the off-season stuff ... so here in June, you're getting the requisite 30-60% off, and the clearance on top of that. Yes, there are always deals here, but they are off the highest retail price you'd never pay. Still, the quality is high and the options are in abundance. IMHO, the best clothing options at the King's Crossing Outlets are doing here at Columbia. Get to Columbia, Kingstonians ... then get out on the water!

With this place being the only possible spot in town to carry them, I rolled the dice, stopped in, and became pleasantly surprised when there was not just one, but two options. The price was also "marked down" 50% on both so what would have been a $120 pair cost me only $60. They also had sizes 11.5 and 12 in both. Another surprise. The only thing they didn't have was a pair of nylon socks, so I rolled the dice again and took a dirty, likely germ-infested sock from the used sock box and hoped to leave without getting plantar warts or else some other unrecognizable fungus. Three days later and I haven't had to visit either the podiatrist or dermatologist. Before entering the store, I got distracted by the sales rack and ended up picking up a $10 t-shirt and a $32 pair of running shorts inside (not on sale). The cashier/manager told me he could save me 20% on my total at the counter by simply providing my name and address. Not my email address, which would have likely resulted in me getting bombarded with unwanted spam, but my physical address. Easy enough. My total came to just under $90 and I left one happy shopper.

The whole family (there are no rapids; I recommend ages 11+) can feel connected to nature and that've had an enjoyable half day laid back kayak excursion in the Adirondacks. I made a kayak trip with my lady with this business, and then I came back again with family. The outfitters and staff are small town friendly.

The prices are not worth it either - I paid $20 for a baby t shirt that isn't even the one I searched to find. Sounds like for kayak rentals they are just as "lovely" to deal with and upstanding in business practices....

When asking, not really much help. In fact, they seemed to go out of their way to ignore you. Made several trips and no matter the staff, all the same. They do have a lot of tackle and bait, however, what I was looking for was some helpful advice. One would think they would go out of their way to make your experience the best it could be to keep you coming back - couldn't have been farthest from the truth. Even went back to obtain my Canadian fishing license for a charter and nobody there to process the license in the middle of the day -- advice was go to Canada. Unfortunately no other options -- but if you can't get advice, I would just buy everything on-line from a nameless, faceless website -- not much difference from the experience I received.
