Peaceful and clean park. Could have been spaced two ft or more from your neighbors on either side of you so to not feel you're on top of one another. But folks come and go with their campers so we never felt closed in. The place is on the outskirt of town but still close enough to shopping area for groceries, restaurants and can't forget The Villages square. Pool area never felt crowded and the bathroom there is very clean and cabin style decor. The rec building surprised me with a great nook library of books and videos. Does have a mini put put if you have kids for them to enjoy. Evening walks around the campground and seeing the sun set behind the trees and pasture was beautiful. Loved the Flag ceremony for Memorial Day. Staff very friendly. Will be back for sure! read more

We've stayed here maybe three or four times in the past with our Thousand Trails Membership. A lot of times we will stop here for a few nights on our way back and forth from central Florida to our home in north Florida. The park is very quiet! No road noise or loud neighbors. The pool and area is nice and well maintained. The park is easy to navigate around. The park is nice to walk our dogs each night with no issues. Everyone here is super friendly and will waive as we walk or drive by. The water pressure is great at the sites we stayed at as well as the electrical pedestal. We love looking at the cows in the field next to the park as we'll walk around. There is not much to do around the surrounding area. If you like antique shopping they do have a few shops in Wildwood. The Villages community is not too far from the park. They have great restaurants and shopping in that area. There are several Ebike trails that we love to do when we are here and are only maybe 25 minutes away from the park. Look on AllTrails app for Ebike trails. We definitely recommend this park for a stopping point for a few days or so! The negatives about the park for us: * Some area of the roads in the park floods easily after the rain. * Some the sites flood in the front of the park sometimes. read more

The manager, Mr. Joe, is the kind of leader everyone hopes to work for -- and the kind of person who makes you want to keep coming back. He's generous, kind, and genuinely cares about making each camper's day a little brighter. He doesn't do it for himself -- he does it for everyone, including his amazing staff. The campground was very nice. The people who run the place are the best. We immediately felt like family. Joe is funny and really makes everyone feel welcome. The facilities are clean but need upgraded. I don't understand why thousand trails/ equity doesn't put more money into the place because it is Great. They have campfires and bingo as well as movie night (with free popcorn) you can't beat that. Washing facility are very nice and located in the center of the park/ convenient to everyone. The park is upgrading to 50 amp all over. So that is really good. And the sales staff make you feel at home as soon as you arrive at the gate. We will be back again and again and again read more

We've stayed at this park twice now and the second time we got a spot all the way in the back of the park and it was fabulous. The spot was level, no blocks required. We don't use the facilities at rv parks because we are self contained but we did check them out and they were clean and well maintained. The annual residents are super friendly and stopped by to chat and give recommendations of things to see and places to eat in the area. The Villages are close so you can pop down the road and listen to live music 7 days a week for free and there is just about any kind of food available you could possibly crave. This is by far one of our favorite Thousand Trails parks. The management and employees are also super helpful and friendly. We plan on returning as often as possible. read more

Lost 3 stars for bad electric power. 30 Amp outlet only supplied 107 volts with load - 50 Amp not available. That caused the breaker to pop multiple times every afternoon when it got hot. 107 volts also will slowly ruin your AC units and cause them to prematurely die. That will cost you THOUSANDS!!! Bad electrical infrastructure MUST be fixed. Popped breakers like this on hot days can also lead to dead dogs when you return from an afternoon outing. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. read more

I am very disappointed in this park management is buddies with a resident that I guess keeps an eye out on the park and they come screaming and hollering and yelling and threatening and this is OK by the office to other guest and there children. As soon as we pulled in we noticed specific spots where to stop. So many times we wonder if we're blocking folks with our 54' length. Greeted by the friendliest of folks. We were able to ask if they recommend a good site for our needs. Great, long, pullthru site ; we were not required to drop our trailer in a parking lot, could have on the site with us. As our motorcycle is in the trailer, that's our "garage" so much appreciated. Sites are spacious. FHU, 50 amp. Most sites, maybe 80%, are pullthru. Park is half 50 amp, half 30 amp (by my guess) Great place, we will return. read more

We are thousand trails members and full time RV-ers. We stayed in Wildwood after hearing great things. The management was so nice, the grounds are large and spacious, there were cows in the fields and even a little campground kitty who is so cute and friendly. The clubhouse was nice! Large with games, books and a tv. The showers nice and clean and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. They do receive packages and Barry, the manager, was very friendly. They did have church services I think, a potluck and some other small activities. Internet was decent. Very close to shopping centers like Publix and Wal-mart. Instacart grocery delivers there and Domino's delivers there as well. So why three stars? Well, I give it three stars for the fact that I prefer certain things at campgrounds. Number one, I like campfires, they didn't allow them. I understand summer is a dangerous time for campfires, so they are following rules, but if you are wanting a campfire next to your RV, you may not get one. The maintenance person said they could bring us a fire pit, so it might be an option if you ask. Number two, the spaces are very close together and dimly lit, the space we had did not have a concrete pad or even gravel, it was grass so ticks and fleas were a concern. Number three, it was bland. There wasn't much scenery and I honestly prefer lots of trees, similar things like that. Now these may seem petty, but we all like what we like and we would definitely go back there, but we would maybe plan better about picking out spaces and having a fire pit brought to us. read more

A favorite campground for us. We have stayed multiple times and enjoyed it each time. The people in the office have been really nice and found us a good campsite. Thought this would be a nice campground with the review I read. When we first drove in, the entrance gave us a great impression, unfortunately not the case. When I called to make a reservation, it must have been a general number for Thousand Trails/Encore Parks, because I asked if they had pull thru sites and she said I could ask when I got to the park. When I got to the park, they were closed so I couldn't request, no trees or at the least, some grass on our site. We must have had the most dirt than any other site, ants everywhere, we had to spray our site so the ants wouldn't get on the tires and the power cord to avoid them coming into our RV. There were many sites available, I should've moved. So many trees, we couldn't use our satellite, and they didn't have cable and only three channels when we tried to used the antenna. I normally don't like to be so negative, but there was not anything positive to remark on. Even only one dumpster on our side of the campground which was not convenient to walk to. Need to gravel or pave the sites, and some TLC for the park. I prefer calling the campground direct, but didn't realize the number on Yelp, was a general number. We have have traveled from Florida to California and back to Florida, about 7000 miles during a 3 month period, using Yelp and their reviews have been spot on, and this had to be the worst campground we have stayed. Luckily we only stayed one night. Would not go back, to this campground. read more

Great Park. Wonderful staff. The Manager Joe was very nice and Mary in the office was GREAT. Sites are not big but the park is in a great location and the people are very nice. We meet three couples during our evening walk. Very nice. We were here in our TT and visiting family in the Villages. No cable or WIFI. Very nice park with Great people. We will be back. read more
