Great park, clean with lots of activities, but they did pull bait and switch on the site I reserved.

Owners and employees are awesome, and the River next to the campsite is beautiful. It was a busy weekend in Ocala considering a virus was spreading. Every camp site in the national park was booked. That did not stop my friends and I from looking. We ended up finding Bronson's camp which was an hour and a half away from from where we were, But this camping was happening one way or another. When we arrived we were sketched out, this place is in the middle of nowhere in central Florida. You see crazy sh** in the movies, so anything becomes scary right. Anyhow, we come across this beautiful river which we ended up camping next to. We are so happy to have discovered this gem. The owners were welcoming, kind, and patient. The employees were fun, one hung out with us for a bit. The people around the camp were super nice. The river was pretty, the way the trees hovered and the dock with two mean ducks haha. Canoes were available for rent ($25) which I would of taken if I hadn't been to intoxicated. It's $15 per tent (2person). Cheap compared most campgrounds. The bathrooms are not luxurious but if you spent time outdoors it's not something that matters. My night here was unforgettable, no one shut us up, there was 14 of us and it was late at night, so please be respectful and modest. I don't want this beautiful place to become over regulated because a couple of stupid people. Anyway, thank you so much! Will definitely come back. BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY, I did not get bit with it on

This is the view from our camper. The orange tent in the pic is at the point of the property where tents can camp right on the river front.

I am writing to formally express serious concerns regarding recent safety incidents and the overall…read moredecline in management effectiveness within our community. There have been multiple situations involving threats of violence that have created a significant sense of unease among residents. In one instance, a resident was threatened while walking her dog, including a direct threat to both her personal safety and her pet. In a separate incident, threats of violence were made toward myself and other residents. Following these incidents, several residents went to the office to inquire about the status of the individuals involved and to better understand what actions were being taken to ensure the safety of the community. We were informed by management that no action could be taken because no arrests had been made and no charges had been filed. This position was repeated over time, even as concerns continued to be raised by residents. Eventually, charges were filed in one of the incidents, including an arrest related to threats of violence. However, residents were again told that no immediate action could be taken, with management stating that individuals could not be removed from the park without sufficient cause. After a period of approximately three to four months, one of the individuals who resided within the park was ultimately removed. The other individual, who had made a direct life-threatening statement while visiting the park, was later addressed following law enforcement involvement. The primary concern among residents is not only the incidents themselves, but the prolonged delay in response and the repeated assurances that no action could be taken, even after the situation escalated. In addition to these safety concerns, there has been a noticeable and ongoing decline in overall park operations and management effectiveness. Staffing levels have significantly decreased, with most maintenance personnel no longer present and turnover affecting office staff as well. This has directly impacted basic services. For example, yard debris that residents are required to place at the curb for weekly pickup has, in some cases, remained uncollected for extended periods. Residents have been informally advised to dispose of their own debris, which presents a challenge--particularly for older residents--and appears inconsistent with established expectations. Community events and resident support activities have also been disrupted. A long-standing Thanksgiving gathering for residents was canceled with little notice, and the activities manager--who previously coordinated events, trips, and community programming--was forced to quit, there has been an apparent shift toward relying on volunteers to manage activities and coordinate services such as food truck scheduling, rather than maintaining dedicated staff for these roles. Collectively, these issues have contributed to a growing concern among residents regarding safety, communication, and the overall quality of life within the community. There is a strong sense that management is not adequately addressing resident concerns or maintaining the standards expected within this park.

New manager is awful. Many staff have quit. Longtime residents are leaving. My 13th year here, if…read moreit doesn't improve it's time for me to go also.

I love this park but only get to come here once a week it has great trails(except for all the woops) and a small fun track but unfortunately i don't want to come back usually staff is really kind an good but today they were disrespectful and rude to not only me but my dog, as i was accused of sneaking in my dog prior (as if i dident ask the guard shack if it was ok.. which they did approve i just couldn't leave her for more than 30 minutes which I'm fine with i usually ride track anyway) i have been to a plethora of other parks in Florida all allowing me and my service animal no question, if you are in the same boat as me i recommend bonevally mx its a little further but they don't bash you for having a service animal and have a way better track that is better maintained and more jumps! this ruined my week dont let it ruin yours

Campgrounds for the pitch-a-tent and RVers a like. A comfort station (bathrooms w/ showers) for you tent people. (Trust me, you need it... I can smell you from here.) There is just no place like it. TIP*** For those of you who prefer a Holiday INN, there is one right at the entrance of the park. HOWEVER, ever since someone was killed on the main entrance (being stupid and racing up the middle) they don't let you ride in, you have to tow your ATV/Dirtbike in. Going 15 miles an hour on a bumpy dirt road for miles can take a while.
