I hardly ever leave reviews but this is needed. They are racist. This funeral home came to a building to pick up someone that had passed away. The guy who was with the lady made a remark that really upset people. Movers with a language barrier going in and out that unfortunately blocked the pathway but they had one main door to the memory care that everyone has to share. Stuff was in the pathway and getting rushed out of the way so they can get by but yet proceeded to just take the body and shove there way past them. You can tell this guy with the funeral home was beyond annoyed and frustrated just being down right rude then he made the comment "maybe they should learn English before coming here". Very unprofessional when arrived at a facilit recentl. made racist remarks while transporting a body to the funeral home and then proceeded to act as if the movers were less than because of a miscommunication between language. There is no reason for a company to allow employees speak in a way that others do not stand for. read more

This is a mom/pop shop and Ron (owner) was very caring and knowledgalble on so many levels. He had great respect when caring for my mothers body and also for us as the survivors. Even down to the point of asking what was my mothers favorate music so that he could play it, with the windows rolled down, as they slowly drove away. He also had great suggestions in the moment about taking care of ourselves and the space left behind, such as putting a quilt on the bed and placing some of her things there so that instead of seeing an empty space, it felt sacred, totally changing the feel of the room and our experience. When asked, he also shared all the options that are now avalable for the final handling and resting of the body. I didint know there were so many options! He felt like family and never a "funeral director" or someone trying to sell you something. There the BEST! read more

I had to come in to Oregon to a nursing home in Gresham where my mother passed recently. Deborah was so easy to work with. So respectful when she came in and picked up our mother's body. Did not zip the bodybag up in front of us, played her favorite music on the way away from us. And we were allowed to provide items of importance to our mom (Letters, certificates, cards...); that was lovely for us to be able to do to join these items with her in cremation. Words can't begin to express how grateful my family is to have chosen Threadgill's for my dad. From our first contact to the night my dad passed away, they were so helpful and calming. The personal attention they gave through a very difficult process is commendable. I am deeply appreciative of Threadgill Memorial Services on the passing of my husband in November. I had called two other memorial services company when my husband went into hospice. No one ever called me back over the course of two weeks and nothing on return calls. When he passed, I called hospice and I told them I didn't have a service lined up cause no one would even call me back. She noted Threadgill had good reviews. I am so grateful for that recommendation as Deborah came out immediately to our home, noted that my hubby was a veteran and a Harley guy. How wonderful is that, she put a patriotic blanket on him and played his favorite song in the van back to their place of business. I cannot be thankful enough with her professionalism and compassion. No high pressure, expensive urns, she gave me so many facts and the truth about what was to happen. She then made a cloth drawstring Harley bag for his urn when she personally returned them to me. I can't even begin to say enough good things about the couple that own this business. They were very kind and generous to our family with the death of our father. We were very nervous and stressed out with making the original arrangements but they made the process so simple and stress free. We had requests that were made difficult because of a holiday weekend but they really came through and was able to honor our father. We had so many compliments about how flawless and amazing the funeral program was. The motorcycle was amazing and really made a difference. It turns out to be the best decision ever because Deborah and Ron are decent and nice people, who provided very caring and good services to our family. My family and I were unimpressed with their services. They were late for the viewing. Full of lectures and insignificant personal stories (it was strange). We felt rushed and unimportant. We buried my mother-in-law yesterday with the help of Ron and Debra from Threadgill. They are both so caring and kind, and made a difficult time much easier. From the time they picked her up, to our final goodbyes, they walked beside us and made sure they were there for us. There is no "sales pitch." As noted by Tamie L. (above) it seems the business model isn't so much to make a profit, but to HELP people. Death of a loved one is a very vulnerable time, and we could easily have been taken advantage of. There was none of that. Because Mom was buried at Willamette National, we were unable to attend the actual interment in her gravesite. Unsolicited, Ron assured us that he and Debra would stay with her until she was safely in her final resting place. Such a caring and loving thing to tell the family. I hope we have no occasion to use their services again for a long time, but I am completely confident in recommending their services to anyone, and will, without question, use them again when we have the need for these services.
