I just started working in the area and desperately needed to get my brows done. Just got them done for $10 in about 5 minutes. I didn't catch her name but she was nice and the place was clean. I will definately go back. It would be nice if there was a head rest, but it's not bad since you aren't there for very long. I feel bad for the stores in the mall and try to give them business when I can. Too bad they can't get more good anchor stores to bring people in. read more

Haha, so... visiting a friend who's decided to live in the middle of nowhere, I convince him that he should get his eyebrows threaded instead of waxed. So our hunt for a threading place begins. Thanks Yelp for the reference, but in the end, it wasn't one of your best recommendations... First of all, this mall is completely abandoned. It's like a scene out of Dead Rising. Which, if you don't know, is a video game that takes place in an abandoned mall, as you off zombies with random weapons. Yup, this place reminds me of a zombie game. I walk in and try to find the Threading Place on the map. It's not even on it. The map hasn't been updated in forever it seems. I look around and see a kiosk with "threading place" written on it. So I walk on over. It's nothing. Just a display of white china on a white tablecloth. WTH?? There's a bunch of wheeled kiosks around with random store names on them that don't seem to serve any purpose except to make the empty halls look less stark. W-e-i-r-d. Even the bathrooms are closed because this place doesn't get any business. Anyway, I finally resort to calling Harjit, who gives me directions to her little place. I still can't believe I had to call her for directions. Sad. I get to Threading Place and it feels so empty and sparse, like the rest of the mall. So I'm still slightly creeped out by the whole abandoned-type ambiance. I have a hard time believing Harjit sells any of the random ethnic jewelry displayed on the wall. And it doesn't give much in terms of decor. My suggestion to her would be to just put some damn pictures up. Give this place some color. But enough of that, let's talk about the quality of threading. The chairs do not lean back. You just tilt your head back. Wow. Harjit also didn't sanitize his skin afterward (my particular threader in socal uses aloe cleansing wipes and they are amazing). Harjit didn't even dust / wipe the loose hairs from my friend's face. My friend's eyebrows came out pretty well, but they were terrible before, haha. So no improvement at all would have been impossible. Though I was a little concerned that she didn't hand him a mirror so he could inspect her work. Harjit doesn't take credit card because the machine "doesn't work." That, or she just didn't want to deal with it since the cost of threading is so cheap. I'm hoping for the first though. All in all, I'm impressed that there's a threader way on out here in podunk-ville. no offense to you locals. But if you're a visitor out here and are itching to groom your brows, do the touch up yourself and wait till you get home to see your personal threader because Harjit is just average. read more

Reading some of the other reviews I find it interesting that there are complaints about not being able to find it in the mall because the mall is so small you could literally walk across the entire length of it in about 5min. Anyway, I've been coming here about every month since January when I moved back to the area and an very happy with the brow work they do here. Today my 1st time here. 1st time getting my eyebrows threaded in general. I came based on reviews. My experience was pleasant. Wasn't aware of how painful it was going to be.. Probably due to the fact that I had plenty of eyebrow for her to remove. I walked in and she greeted me with a smile and how are you today. Friendly. The establishment seemed clean and tidy from what I could see. Lots of jewelry and bags to look at while you wait. The price was nice $10. The chairs could have been a little more comfortable. No head rest. Awkward trying to find a comfortable position. She dove right in.. Not much conversation. More conversation between the employees then her and myself. I did however manage to let her know this was my first time wen I about jumped out of the chair when she started. It was quick, probably will be quicker next go round seeing that there will be less work. Due to reading the reviews before I went, I knew I was to ask for cooling gel or something when I was done because no she didn't offer it. I'm super fair/sensitive skinned so I really needed it. My usual "go-to" threading place is located in the solano area and looking for a new spot is hard and frightening. After reading a couple of yelp reviews I decided to try this place and was very pleased, ever since then ive been coming here to get my brows done. Ive had 3 different ladies do my brows and they are all great. My only complaint (I guess you would call it) are the chairs. But for the price $10 and fast/friendly service I would recommend this place! My brows and I always leave feeling fabulous and less beastly. read more

I even bought two coupons advertised and went in only have the woman give me a hard time and when we were standing close, not only did she have henna on her hair during business hours she smelled of body odor big time. ugh I was sickened. Every two weeks I go in and see harjit! She welcomes me in every time she sees me. She always has a wonderful conversation with me and is so nice!
