The Cafe, Hot Table seems to've closed ' Post Covid - 19 '. Also they sell quite an Assortment of Indian Made ' Pots & Pans / Household Goods '. They seem to have some type of ' Beauty Salon ' with Waxing for Ladies '. Staff is ' Usually Friendly '& Helpful Enough. The owner and his son worked there. Then they used to have Young Nepalese Ladies & Guys. One at the Counter, and a Floor Helper. Last Evening though I had a ' Weird Experience ' though. The ' Lady Floor Helper ' was ' Unprofessional & Highly Inappropriate in her Sales Conduct'. Not sure if they're Managers or New Owners, but the ' Turbaned Sikh Gentleman @ The Counter was Polite , Helpful & Nice. I hate to affect anybody's Business, but I couldn't reach them for ' one thing ' !!! + I have no way to reach the Owners. All in All - she was ' Sarcastic & Highly Unprofessional '. He seriously needs to learn some manner to deal with his customers. He needs to learn important concept of business that customers are always right and customers are key to any business. His business wouldn't exist if there is no customer. I have been loyal and regular customer to Delhi fashion for 3 years now. I called this morning regarding bad and old food that I bought. I couldn't remember the exact so I told the CSR that i bought it like two weeks ago. He asked me to come for return. I drove 20 mins to get there just to get yelled by the owner. This huge store is becoming a one-stop shop. They sell everything from clothes, jewelry, household items and other fun imported things from India. But on to my personal reason for writing... Since a friend told me about this place two years ago when they finished renovating their salon, I have regularly gotten my eyebrows threaded here. For $10, I'm not complaining. It's walk-in, no appointment, and they're really fast and efficient. The ladies that run the salon are very friendly and always do an amazing job. There's someone who does manicures and pedicures, though I have yet to try her services. They're currently in the middle of opening a restaurant, attached to the right side of their store. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. But one thing is for sure- Delhi Fashion brings a lot more life to that little plaza. read more

Tried to return a pressure cooker and they wouldn't exchange it. Brand new! I had my receipt. I did open it but it was unused, still is. I hadn't noticed that it was made of aluminum and I wanted a stainless steel. He said they wouldn't do it because of COVID-19 but items don't get COVID! Moral of the story: double check that it's the item you want in the every way. As for me I might go to Vicks in Berkeley to buy from them. Vicks has very good customer service. Depending on who you get it from, i usually get it from the one girl that is there most of the time, forgot her name, she is good tho. She's quick yet efficient, i always get compliments on my eyebrows. She cleans them up better than Neelam, the owner lady, cus' last time Neelam did mine and the shape was still good but wasn't as polished and clean. This review is strictly for threading services, which I would actually give 3 stars for but I don't wanna bring the whole store's rating down. This place is a hit or miss for me. Whenever the owner did my brows, she did a really good job and was always super personable. I've been coming here for years because it's so cheap, but today will probably be my last time. The other girls usually do a good job on my eyebrows, but some are a lot rougher then others. Today was the worst. The girl threaded really slowly and pressed down with the thread harder than anyone else has ever done. She was also extremely specific on how I stretched the skin around my eyebrows as well as how my head was tilted, things I've never had issues with when others have threaded me. I really hope that the girls get trained better. read more

They found the clips for me and pointed out they had earrings similar to the ones I was wearing. Some things are pretty pricey, but i've enjoyed my purchases. They sold me expired stuffs that has no expiry label. Be aware and check labels. If you dont see labels on them, probably they've wiped them off. And their price are much more than Milan or Viks or any other competitor.. they sold me roasted chana which had no expiry date which I found to be damaged (bad taste and bad smell) I left the item the very next day with the employee with my name and number and boss never contacted me and never refunded my money for shit he sold. Sunday June 4, 2017. Moved here from Sacramento. I usually have my threading done by Beauty by Thread and found this place along with others but was still deciding which one to pick before going in. Today, I was at the Smart & Final next door and notice it was one of the places I found on Yelp. Went in and asked a few questions. It started off rocky for some reason with the first lady that greeted me then she motioned another lady to come assist me. LOVE LOVE LOVE getting my eyebrows done here! I have been to many threading places all over Northern Cal but this is my new go-to place in the area. The store itself throws you off with its location and awkward parking lot, but the people inside are super nice. The actually "salon" where you get threading done is a boxed off corner to the whole Indian grocery store but it's adequate enough for me. Nilam did my eyebrows for me and not only did she do them quickly and thoroughly - absolutely NO scrapes and NO pain! I'm still a wussy about threading even though I've been doing it for years, but this time it was totally pain free. I got skeptical at first thinking she may have missed huge hairs but she actually didn't miss any at all. Prices are super reasonable. Highly recommend versus going to Berkeley and paying way more! read more

I came in on a Saturday morning first one to get there the older lady helped me and I have to say she needs to get trained better or get some glasses. So it was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and the lady that did my brows was a little rude and wasn't very accommodating at all. This place is also in the ghetto and the salon is just a corner in an Indian grocery store that is sectioned off by a plastic frame. As far as my brows they turned out pretty good they were arched and for the most part clean but the next day my upper eyelid had pink marks from where she had threaded and its been a week and the marks are still there.maybe its because she did not put any lotion after the threading. A friend of mine introduced me to this store and I was so thrilled. The food, esp. Chicken Tikka masala, Samosa are really good. The prices are really reasonable. It is a self serve, fast food type of place but they love to serve and make sure you are ok. The grocery store is right next door and so amazed to see all kinds of stuff from India. This has always been my go to place for eyebrow threading whenever I am in Richmond however today was my last visit. I'm rating 2 stars because the store always seems pretty stocked and clean however the eyebrow threading I got today was not good at all. Usually the girls will ask me what I prefer if my eyebrows have lost their shape or they will get the idea that I like thick eyebrows and just clean them up. This time the girl who helped me didn't ask about my preference which I didn't think was odd because they don't always ask... I walked out of there with the thinnest eyebrows. It's such a bad feeling to know you will have to walk around with messed up eyebrows and have to wait for the hair to grow back. That's assuming the hair grows back... Not only are my eyebrows thin, one is more square shaped than the other. I didn't ask her to fix it because she would have to make it even thinner in order to make them the same. She knew I was not happy when I saw the first eyebrow but then she did the second one and it was even thinner than the first one! How and why did that happen! I was nice and even complimented their updated salon areas. She has bad listening skills. I think she's the daughter of the owner. I'm very disappointed. read more

I have always had my eyebrows waxed..but $30 seemed to be pretty pricey.I switched to eyebrow threading because I heard it was better for your skin.Threading is a bit more painful then waxing but cleaner and accurate.I started to come to Delhi Spa back in Oct.'09. I was very nervous because it was my first time and I haven't had more then one person shape my brows..let me say she was amazing..I should have asked her for her name..she is younger then the other ladies who work in the spa possibly early 20's..I told her my situation and she helped me relax..she rubbed my brows with an oil I guess to soften the hair follicles.She asked me how I would like my arch and how thick or thin I would prefer. She knows what she is doing and she is very polite. I haven't gone since dec.because I went one time at night and I guess the young girl left early and the owner of either the salon or the store was there I told her I would be back for the other girl and well she insisted on me doing them so I said yes who knew she would do a horrible job..she left one brow thicker then the other and the arch was all wrong.I was very unpleased..anyways Delhi spa is a great place to go for your eyebrow needs but only if u get the right person to do it.. read more
